the idea that nations are going to be engaging in 'gun-running' accross Europe to get military hardware to unknown Ukrainian combatants is just a bit fanciful for me.

File this talk of weapons provision under elite Chechen troops fighting for Putin, and every Ukrainian male under 60 ready to die for the cause.

Not really I just think underestimating him is a serious mistake given his track record. People compare him to Hitler because they want to ‘go at him’ when in reality I think it’s actually closer to the Cold War, where we obviously applied a completely different strategy to direct confrontation.

Should have thought about the consequences of expansion and probably not done it

Always thought that we should have got Russia inside of NATO to bring them into the fold. Not to go down the rabbit hole of blaming anyone but Russia here, but hopefully this all ends soon and creating an environment were everyone can exist together peacefully has to be the long goal.

Ukrainian counter offensive now believed to be underway. No details of exactly where or what’s involved yet.

It appears last night that Ukraine launched its first coordinated Bayraktar & infantry attack on a large Russian column near Sumy. Looks like it was a slaughter - casualties and numbers of vehicles destroyed are unknown at this time, but it looks like both of those numbers will be high.

Russia still doesn’t appear to have an answer to these drones. They are wreaking havoc.

You seem to forget that countries wanted to join the EU and NATO. They have free determinism, which is largely what annoys Russia so much, as they only hold influence via force.
