The so called ‘invasion convoy’ apparently has many logistical vehicles which indicates they're going to be setting up camp.

My thinking is maybe they’re looking at a more straightforward command and control / policing structure than you would get in a typical invasion?

Sorta yes. I think the idea is that, with no major air attack concerns, the Russians aren't bothered about making a big target, and concentrating everything they need in one big lump. That way, it's hard for a small force to successfully attack, and if they carry fuel, food, and ammo with them, there's no scope for the logistical cock-ups (cocks-up? Tricky linguistic point) that have reportedly plagued their operations so far. Still an invasion convoy, though.

If I was the Ukrainians, I would be preparing IEDs along the major thoroughfares in case they have to retreat to help cripple the logistics. The roads need cratering too.

Just reading about some of the young children killed so far. The latest was a six-year-old girl who was killed in a bombing, rushed to hospital while wearing her unicorn pyjamas, but unable to be saved. It's absolutely heartbreaking. For what? I hope some rogue Russian puts a bullet in Putin's head as soon as possible.

I hope it's more than some rogue Russian. Theres gotta be rumblings of a coup in Moscow at some point in all this, maybe its way off but I wouldn't rule it out.
