Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Dibling.. if he’s been granted permission to speak to us as per the Bobble, I don’t see how a fee is not agreed? Waste of everyone’s time in that scenario. It’s surely done.

Dewsbury-Hall, not his biggest fan. Saw him for Chelsea last year and he looked poor, but maybe needed some game rhythm that he wasn’t getting there?
Will take Alcaraz spot imo but offer more in defence. Could also play on the right side if needed, not ideal but better than current options.
Just haggling over the structure and timing of the deal now you have to think

This new recruitment team, are they doing a better job than Thelwell?

I mean if the fees are correct for these players then surely Thelwell could have done exactly the same deal as these new guys, so in my opinion what was the point in changing him.

It was Thelwell who got us Ndiaye

Has the entire recruitment team from last year left then? I was under the impression it was a handful of senior positions changed and nothing else.

Prentice is still there on the comms side of things as well.

We need to preserve our cash and increase the add-ons as this is a risky purchase. Also that keeps the cash for other signings.

After the US flop Moyes must realise our only goal threat, besides the big lads at the back coming up for corners , is N'Diaye. Beto and Barry will bag a few for certain but N'Diaye is the only one that scares the opposition.

Yup. We can only afford one in particular £40m must be the majority of the remaining budget.
When the window shuts I suspect Everton will have spent £150m +/- 10% and added £40/45m to our amortisation in doing so. The fact that if it plays out like that it will be mainly spent on potential and mid-level PL veterans is sobering.
