David Moyes rules out any January transfer

Wasn't Mirallas more like £5.3m? He had a release clause or something and Oviedo was £1m max, I'm certain.

Yeah, I went for the very upper end of the estimates mate. Rodwell was rumoured to be anything from £12m to £18m, so it's always hard to say for certain.

As I say, there should be about £1-3m knocking about from the way I read it. The signing on fees etc. should be offset by the fact we let go numerous very high earners throughout the course of the last year such as Arteta, Yobo and Cahill, so we must be saving a fair whack on that.

It's hard to gauge accurately without proper figures, and this "undisclosed fee" nonsense is a ballache, but we definitely don't have £7m to spend - regardless of the black hole of "other operating costs"!

Nah, just managers at the fifth best club in the country whilst other worse managers and teams have.
He should have won something, he definitely should have come closer in his 10 years than he has. Two semis and a final is pretty gash considering the quality of the team he had/has and other worse teams with similar records.
If he can stop his teams crashing out pretty much every year to inferior teams it will be a start.

Stop making sense, people on here will have to come up with more excuses as to why our trophy drought stands at 17 years.

"It wuz the Aurora Borealis lid!"

I'm waiting for the words money and sky four to come up after they ignore the last line of my post about inferior teams.
Probably get a couple of portsmouths and Birmingham thrown in there too.

Naturally mate, it's as if lifting a cup brings about relegation by default, even though we haven't seen the drop in 60 years.

I don't think Moyes would be saying"yeah, i've got £4-5m to spend so I'll be looking about for players with 6 months left on their contract and getting them in for a bargain", no way. I believe our resident itk fox has said there will be incomings in January, so I would hardly give any of this a thought yet.

We've got all that new tv money coming in and we cant afford a signing to push on.

Good luck with the new SKY1 show Bill. You're doing a marvelous job.

Why can't this be Moyes simply keeping potential clubs on notice that we don't have big amounts so you aren't going to be able to inflate prices on Everton.

Or is it moyes going yea we dont have much cash so if bigger clubs want to come and have a battle for a few players that would be great

Untill we get to Feb 1st we dont know either way. Noone knows what weve got apart from the people in control of it. People are just using this as an excuse to spin this one anyway they see fit.

Who says its anything to do with money, maybe there are spends but not enough to impact on the quality of the first team, meaning bringing anyone in may be upward of 10mill+ to get into our team i.e. to do it "properly".

Football isnt played on SSN lads and results dont lie, we're unbeaten in the league in 8 - almost a quater of the season, we have cover all over the pitch. TBH id much prefer Barkley, Hitz or Kennedy, Velios, Duffy etc to come in then bring anyone in.

Bar a new keeper, im more then happy.

Anyway im pretty sure there will be at least a loan.
