David Moyes rules out any January transfer

It makes no sense to not strengthen. Either they finish 4th and thru gambled well in January or they don't and they use fellaini sales to cover what they spent in January.

This is what a club with even the slightest amount of ambition would do.

However Everton are clearly over the moon to harp on about relegation battles from over 10 years ago whilst finishing 7th or 8th every year.

It's pathetic.

Sweet jesus I thought the people running the club were supposed to be businessmen? If they provided some cash in January it could be the best investment they ever make. It could potentially get us top 4. Not even talking silly money. So frustrating.

Like **** this might just be blind optimism but I really belive we'll be doing business in January. We are desperate for a cm we ain't finishing in the Europa spot let alone in champions leauge spot with phill the wonder horse in cm.

I belive this is just moyes keeping his cards close to his cheast. It's what he always dose. He's not the type of manager to come out and say where spending **** loads in january(not that he'll ever get the chance to with kenwright in charge) is he because.

A) saying we have money may drive up the price of any potential deal.
B) if your grafting your ass off your in fourth spot and your boss is saying he's going to replace you I suppose it could have a negative impact on moral with the team( probably clutching at straws with the last reason).

But I do belive we will spend not much say 4-5 mill but hopefully mouse will work his magic and sign some good'uns I guess one permanent two loans. If we don't am going to get kenwright was mates with jimmy saville tattooed across my arse and moon him as soon as the transfer window shuts.

So's Moyes, hence the magic 40 point quote every year & the sh*t starts.

Oh and the constant bottling of cup competitions.

Even our first team would get turned over in the CL, we are in desperate need of more quality in lots of areas.

And let us never forget. ....

Lets not get carried away with this, we all know we havent got unlimited funds to spend and Moyes is just keeping his cards close to his chest. I expect a loan deal for Ofoe and maybe a bid for Jack Butland, we wont do much tho

I hesitate to crticise the Everton board, so that previously unknown usernames won't spring up from nowhere and spout bollocks about how well Bill's doing.

Just hope the fan's forum was good the other night.

This could be a smokescreen for activity, if the clubs know we have money then we might not be able to compete in the market as competitively as we usually do

It may also be used as a morale booster for the squad saying that he trusts that they are good enough to get through the season

I'd be surprised if we didn't see another 1 or 2 players come in, I think this is just Moyes keeping expectation down and giving the impression to the squad that he's happy with them. Also if he comes out saying "yeah, we're definitely after 1 or 2 players, we've got a little bit of money etc....." then that might push the price of a potential transfer target up slightly, we've seen this before many times, Sir Alex does it regularly.

Aye probably the worst manager ever that bloke. I know we're 4th but still.. telling people they should aim for 40points as early as possible and see where we can get from there.. what a c**t.
Put him in the wicker man and set him alight peeps.. He'll see us ruined with his extended unbeaten runs and quality cheap buys.. What a b****d.. Wish we had Walker back at least he never bought us players like Mirallas with no money ffs.
