David Moyes rules out any January transfer

Its his best team since he has been here, dont think Moyes wants to leave just yet. Even if Fellaini leaves, it wont be for cheap, so like with the Rooney and Lescott money we rebuild.

Fellaini wont leave in January either, Moyes wont sell him and the board will be stupid to sell him, he is staying till May at least.

We have one proven striker.
We have one proper wide right player (Pienaar on the left)
We have a central midfield that consists of a right back and an attacking mid
We have a goalkeeper who is out of form

How people say our squad is okay is beyond me, we really need another CM in January minimum.

I hate to say it, but it is a surefire sign of being a small club.

They're obviously thrilled to bits with finishing 7th every year, so they have no intention of strengthening the squad so that we can sustain a challenge for 4th place and champions league qualification.

We will not get top4 without any strengthening. Although we still sit in 4th place, our form has been poor for weeks now (4 draws and one win). It's nowhere near enough to secure 4th place.

I wouldn't rule out finishing top four based on who we sign or don't sign in January, as we've done it with a far worse team. I would say though that it shows a total lack of ambition from the board. We'll be getting an extra £20m per season from 13/14, why they're seemingly unable to get a few million together for a new signing which could help us qualify for the CL is beyond me.

Surely he has to bring in a couple of loans . He recently brought in loan players in the summer but seen as we didn't I thought January we would get some . I can't see him not bring one loan in its an opportunity that shouldn't be missed to strengthen our team . Also even if we did use all the rodwell money we should have 3 million from Yobo and Cahill

I hope you are right mate but 2005 was a one-off IMO.

We will finish 7th or 8th AGAIN if there is no squad strengthening. It's boring as [Poor language removed] man.

Best get that Belgian lad on loan. Hopefully he is just bluffing and it's all done and dusted and ready to be announced on 01 January.

Unlikely.

The Rodwell money has disappeared then?

How much did we actually spend of it? About 5million out of about 12 million?

Jokes.

Kevin Mirallas - 6.732.000 £
Steven Pienaar - 5.060.000 £
Bryan Oviedo - 3.960.000 £
Matthew Kennedy - 220.000 £
Steven Naismith - free transfer

total - 15.972.000

It makes no sense to not strengthen. Either they finish 4th and thru gambled well in January or they don't and they use fellaini sales to cover what they spent in January.

I'm hoping this is so other managers aren't under any illusions that we are desperate to strengthen in January, thus inflating already over-inflated January fees.

Let's not get carried away with our January transfer dealings in November lids.

I dont think the board knows what gamble means mate, Also i dont think they should pre spend felli's sales money never know what could happen with him.

This extra 20m a season sounds intresting from tv rights, so maybe spending that now would help before everyone gets it and puts prices up for everyone
