By the way, on the day when the UK officially became the worst performing nation in Europe on Covid19, where was the Butcher at the press conference?

MIA - again.
Dave, I agree with you on plenty of footie related points, but I don’t agree with blaming Boris for our covid record.

It’s expected that the UK would be the worst performing nation in Europe...because our population density is higher than other eu nations except for Belgium and Holland.

Their populations are probably far more disciplined than we as a nation are. You only have to look at idiots out on beaches and in parks and having bbq parties the moment the sun comes out, to realise that unless Boris imposes martial law there isn’t much else he can do to reduce the spread.

Then, to top it off, when the likes of Neil Ferguson go and breach the lockdown regulations, and therefore fail to lead by example despite arguing for the lockdown to be instigated, you can see why we were always going to perform badly.

It’s lack of discipline in an overcrowded country, not Boris Johnson, that is the problem.

Again though, there seems to be a conflation that the use of data within the NHS is synonymous with how shadier companies have previously used it. Personally, I'm very skeptical of the whole veneration of data for the purposes of manipulation. By and large most data is useless or so specific as to make it's use nigh impossible on a broader scale. Stuff like CA was done on a scale based on trends and regretably did seem to work. I don't really see how my movements would actually be of particular interest to anyone beyond myself.
And your wife lol

Seems very odd (she came round to his house and the husband knew), though the fact that it was apparently the Telegraph who broke that story might suggest this is rather more about him falling out with No.10 than anything else.

I had a fling with an older married woman in my younger days. She used to come round my flat every Wednesday evening and most Saturday nights. I only found out some time later (from her sister) that her husband knew about it and was happy to ignore it so long as she didn't leave him.

Takes all sorts.

How would it be 'disloyal' to the national cause? It's being disloyal to the nation if he continues to fail to address the tens of thousands of people dying as a result of Tory incompetency. It's only the Tory cause that would suffer if he went in far more critically than he has done.

He's not striking the right balance between offering a way forward and addressing huge and continuing political failures. It's weak.

It would be disloyal for Starmer to be on TV having random pops at the government when he knows little or no actual detail at this stage and the vast majority of the government are there doing their best in the midst of a huge crisis. That is unless you think the Tories are actually sat there rubbing their hands at the idea of people dying?

The time for rigorous independent investigation will come.

He knows an awful lot about what is going on now though; that the government has demonstrably lied on numerous occasions, for instance.

Also, "disloyal"? lol
