As if I'm downloading an app designed by Cummings' mate that's been called NHSX to con people in to downloading it. The country seems to be heading towards Fascism which isn't surprising after seeing photos of book shelves belonging to the nutcases that are running the country.
They want to be playing pac man with us.
It's doubtful it works anyway. Exclusive: ‘Wobbly’ tracing app ‘failed’ clinical safety and cyber security tests.

"The app is being trialled on the Isle of Wight this week, ahead of a national rollout later this month. Senior NHS sources told HSJ it had thus far failed all of the tests required for inclusion in the app library, including cyber security, performance and clinical safety".

Serco and G4S are in line to be awarded the contract to do the 'test and tracing'. Unbelievable, that the government has turned to those two organisations.

"Mr Hancock has been accused of a “missed opportunity” by failing to sign up around 5,000 local council environmental health workers – and thousands more in the private sector, now furloughed in the shutdown".

Coronavirus
Security concerns make PSNI and jail staff wary of using virus phone app

Security workers in Northern Ireland may be reluctant to download a new contact-tracing app over fears their personal details could be compromised, a former Special Branch officer has warned.
Scientific experts will fit in around what a ruling political class want. They are hired by them and they are paid by them. Does it surprise you that different types of government than this one get different results because of their differnt outlook?

Now watch as 'alternative SAGE' (not employed by HM Government) come to some very different conclusions on what should have happened and what should happen.
Good to know that liberal England is alive and well. Somewhat sheilded from the excesses of Johnson and Cummings in Wales, thankfully...

You’ve got that backwards - society has to get to a point where most people can have enough security so that if the unexpected happens they can cope with it - that their businesses don’t crash, that they don’t lose their homes and self-esteem and do on.

Huge swathes of our economy seem to have been dependent on nothing bad happening to survive (never mind succeed). Since bad things happen al the time, this was never sustainable. This has to be fixed, otherwise the next time this happens we will be in even worse trouble.
As they say in America
I AM 1 missed payday away from being homeless

In Ireland so far most shops that are opening are doing a 1 in 1 out policy
Most people are happy to observe it
If you break the rule the assistant will ask you to leave
It seems to be working fine so far
I think the people there will be less stridently individualistic as they are over here (aka being less of a gigantic arsehole).

Thatcher's Kinder will demand their birthright to be in a shop at any time they please and under any circumstances.

The following small shops are open where I live :

Deli
Newsagent x 2
Chippy
Indian Takeaway x 4
Decorating shop
Butcher
Waterfields
Cafe - take away only
Specialist Cake shop

All of them allow no more than people in at a time. Big signs on doors.

Been like this for weeks and is working perfectly.
Those spivs shouldn't have been trading.

FFS.

Right from the start I have been a model citizen. Cared for my parents, at distance, helped Mrs R with her physio and stuff, social distanced, minimal time away from the house, watched the briefings and done what I am told.

My reward? A kopite wasp stung me the other day, and some wee beastie has bit me on my bollocks today.

Gonna be an extra few wines later. And blame mother effing nature.

The highest death total in europe and we are an island.

A fact that all tories must take a minute or two to digest.

The fact is when Boris finally realised that this virus could be dangerous, remember the wash your hands twice, while singing happy birthday, went to, if we can keep the death toll to below 20,000, we will have done well.
Well Boris it's now above 30,000 and still rising, rising above Spain and Italy, who both warned us in advance and now officially the highest in Europe. That is now an admission by Boris that we haven't done well at all.
