Digne was fit enough for the bench yesterday, therefore, I would have started him in place of Baines.

It couldn’t have gone any worse, could it? Both of them hasbeens played huge roles in us throwing 4 points away.

He’s actually thought that starting with Jagielka and Baines in games is a good idea. That has to worry you?

Tbh he's already answered that by saying the players in question have not bedded in yet and are either still injured or not quite ready yet. Next game Keane is injured expect Zooma will play and hopefully we'll enough to cement his place in the team. And I would expect Digne to take the place of Baines, who for me cost us the win yesterday with an uncalled for and ridiculous challenge, that gave Bournemouth a way back into the game they didn't really deserve.

So you would have put a half fit Digne in so
You do realise he came here to play football WHEN he’s fully fit and up to speed not sit on the bench
Anyway just heard Keane our for 3 or four weeks and will be able to keep his general fitness up , just not allowed head a ball
So Zouma /Mina in for the next 4/5 weeks guaranteed

Imagine starting the league campaign with a first choice 33 year old left back instead of a 25 year old player who's last 3 clubs have been Barcelona, PSG and Milan.

This is the penalty paid for completing most of our signings at the end of the window. They were not ready to start the season. Hopefully we have enough to get by Huddersfield at home and then by the time we play again after the international break against West Ham we will be able to start some of these guys

We have literally half a team to come in brand new and because we haven't had a perfect start to the season it's all typical Everton blah blah blah.

We will be swapping 2 past it defenders with internationals

We will swap one of our defensive mids with a European championship winner

We will have a Brazilian international in our attack

That is not even including zouma.

So who cares if we have dropped points? The same crap defence capulated like it did last year. So brands replaced them all. It's not even the end of August yet ffs.

Doesn't matter who his previous 3 clubs are. If he's not looking ready to start games then that's all that's relevant. What those who work with him every day see is what informs the decision rather than an uninformed opinion followed up with hindsight.

Do people honestly think the transition from last season would only take a matter of a couple of weeks? The majority of the new signings came in about 2 and a half weeks ago, one or two lacking fitness and one or two carrying injury.

Virtually all the dead wood has been shipped out.

Martinez’s inherited a team of yard dogs , added a spine of the relegated Wigan side
got the wrong Chelsea CF sprinkled some fairy dust on it and got us 72 points

Silva even at this early stage, seems to be a huge improvement on Koeman and Allardyce.Granted that wouldn't be a hard feat to achieve.But the worry i have is that Silva will not be given a fair chance.Because Moshiri seems to be a very trigger happy chairman, who will cave in and buckle at the first signs of revolt from the fans.

He did it to Martinez Koeman and Allardyce, although i do think all three of that lot had to go.But im wondering does Moshiri have the confidence and faith to stick with Silva, when were going through a bad spell of results, and the fans are getting restless?Time will tell on that front i suppose.
