Holgate and Keane didn’t do a whole lot last season
Keane is ropey at the best of times ( although he has shown an improvement this season ) but is not the man to partner a young inexperienced Holgate away from home

Jagielka proved to be a liability, which many thought he would be. Picking him and Baines is worrying me. If the majority of the fanbase can see that they should have been binned off, I'm wondering why the manager hasn't seen it.
Again wasn't Holgate injured most of or at least the latter part of the pre season, this is Everton you know. It's only certain teams, ( not far away ) that can play an unchanged team three games in a row.

Progress in attitude and attacking intent as far as I can see. The signs are good and apart from a freak injury there isn't anything black about it. Throwing all your signings in at once is a recipe for disaster, look at us last season and West Ham this, Silva handling it well.

How do you find it so hard to understand
A) You cannot put 3 players who have never played together and barely trained together straight into a PL fixture
B) Even if you could do this the players are not match fit yet or up to speed with Silvas tactics
I can guarantee you the team in November ( barring injuries / suspensions ) will bear no resemblance to the 3 teams Silva has picked so far
Not saying it’ll take that long but they will need time to bed on
