Up 2-0 in the 70th, it's a bit depressing, but if someone told me we'd have 2 first half straight reds in our first three games and still come away with 5 points, I'd be happy. They aren't the best teams, but away draws to Bournemouth and Wolves with red cards aren't the worst results. Most of our mistakes have been mental, but the fact that we haven't put in players that IMO are obviously superior to those in front of them is encouraging.

Don't consider anything important beyond the four points dropped and, as such, getting off to a very average start to the season instead of the good one we could have had.

It's a shame, but oh well, it's not like Everton haven't disappointed us much, much more than this in the past. You sort of get used to it.

They were winnable. Wolves were terrible on the day and were there for the taking, as were Bournemouth, and three individual errors from Jagielka, Richarlison and Baines have cost us four points.

You might see it as two points gained. I simply don't.

We have literally half a team to come in brand new and because we haven't had a perfect start to the season it's all typical Everton blah blah blah.

We will be swapping 2 past it defenders with internationals

We will swap one of our defensive mids with a European championship winner

We will have a Brazilian international in our attack

That is not even including zouma.

So who cares if we have dropped points? The same crap defence capulated like it did last year. So brands replaced them all. It's not even the end of August yet ffs.

Always disappointing to lose a two goal lead, but conversely it was a wonderful effort to get to a two goal lead.

The manager was appointed at the beginning of June so he is not yet three months in the job and as somebody who was very sceptical of his appointment I happily admit that so far the signs are positive for what he can achieve.

Today he started with ten players that were at the club before he arrived, and they are doing well, but it will take probably the full season before any manager fully gets a team playing exactly as he wants.

10 points or so after our first five games would be a very good start under a new manager. And there is a good chance we will have 9 or 11.
That's something to work on then.

Needless sending off, two goal lead blown by hopeless defending, and one of our players seriously injured.

I cant think of too many more deflating days in the recent past as this one today. Gutting on every single level.
