Black Saturday

The defence is the main problem but hopefully sorted when the new signings settle in. Coleman, Baines, Keane have some serious weaknesses that are being exploited to the max. At least the attack has improved and we know we can score goals so I am fairly confident things will improve defensively as I don't think they could get much worse.

Worried about the standard of officiating in the prem , these clowns are completely hopeless.Black saturdays will continue for us all the time the refs fawn over the sky 6

Naivety from Silva at 2 nil. He must learn from that.

The sooner Digne, Zouma & Mina start the better.

I’m in the one point gained camp however. Any away point in the PL is a good point.

Poor showing all around. Silva, the players, the ref. Let´s hope it´s a learning curve.

And if Silva can´t organise a defence he´s of now use to us, no matter how many Barca players he can get through the door with his slick Portuguese ways.

Black Saturday, Really ?

Over the years I’ve sat in pubs and in cars and on trains and done my fair share of ranting and moans and certainly heard a lot more . Some of of it more than justified and a fair share the ranting and rambling of Evertoniiand feeling pain usual after a dreadful surrender or a cowardly performance.

This reaction is hyperbole of the worst possible type , welcome to the wind up humour of where we are in the world today I suppose , where people almost seem to look for poor results to justify where they’ve nailed their position . I look forward to the explanation of how it’s great fun . Just feels a bit pathetic I’ll be honest .

By the way I was incredibly frustrated to let a two goal lead slip and I was really disappointed overall . On my ranking of black Saturday’s though I’d think it’d struggle to make the first half dozen pages , if that .

It's all my fault really. Just after Keane scored I allowed myself a brief moment of thinking 'so this is what it's like to enjoy football' and in doing so brought this down on all of us.
That thinking reminds me of the FA Cup final in 2009.

Naive 16 year old me, looked at the clock and thought - ‘At this moment in time, Everton are the FA Cup winners’. Needless to say, they equalised within seconds of thinking it.

If I was a West Ham fan right now....
Black August.
We havnt set the world alight for sure, We are however unbeaten as yet and yes with two sending offs and a defence who look slow and old.
The only depressing thing is not being able to watch Richarlison for three games and Michael Keane being injured. He has been very good of late and wish him a speedy recovery.

And a draw that feels like a loss under circumstances where we clawed our way back into a game after numb nuts put us at a disadvantage, then went 2 up with 20 minutes to go, that should never have happened.

It was a bad result. But we still haven't lost and have 2 very winnable home games. Win both and we've done ok.

It's been 3 games. It should get better. We weren't going to become a great team overnight.
