Black Saturday

Bit crazy to compare it to atrocities and deaths, isn't it
Anyway more seriously to your point: I thought that at 10 men we'd lose the game, or draw it at best, but then when we went 1-0 up and 2-0 I thought this was a new Everton. on balance Baines and now maybe Keane are from the bottler generation, and their experience is Long but not successful. Zouma at 23, even Holgate seem to be tougher. I think Coleman is untouchable, but he might be feeling the pressure of Jonjoe Kenny, the first real challenge he's had? Haven't seen any highlights or watched it live today, though, but it really doesn't seem as bad as Black Saturday - we have had worse

Oh yeah, and more than Baines we needed a leader in the middle of the park and middle of defence to just tell everyone at 2-0 'We are not losing this game' - Gana, Davies, Schneiderlin (I know he wasn't playing), Gylfi, Baines, Keane are not those people. Holgate might be, but he's not a leader of the team yet

Baines and Davies were both enjoying themselves far too much at the third kit launch during the week. That's in jest but we don't have enough guys at the moment with the requisite leadership and discipline.

In that sense, it was disappointing to see Richarlison as a Silva signing, give the referee such easy ammunition.

It will be interesting to see if the other new signings will have a positive impact, in terms of being demanding of themselves and others.

You would think so, with three of them coming from Barca but then again, Gomes for one probably isn't too keen on verbals flying in the dressing room.
Which is why he shouldn't be the smegging captain.

I have had worst evenings as an Evertonian. More like that browny colour when you mix every paint colour together Saturday. Lots of good components chucked together to end up sh/te

Where on earth do you begin with that?

Needless sending off, two goal lead blown by hopeless defending, and one of our players seriously injured.

I cant think of too many more deflating days in the recent past as this one today. Gutting on every single level.

*Delete if necessary mods. I'm just thinking there might be a need for a generic thread that's devoted to this game outside of the football dimension.
This kid is a joke.

Unbeaten with a dodgy defence is good in my book.

We should and would have won today and at wolves but for idiocy/referees.

Zouma, mina and digne will change everything.

Holgate’s passing has impressed me.
