But again, they're the class of '92. Giggs had already had a solid season in 91/92, Schmeichel had already come in, Mark Hughes, Brian McClair, Irwin, Bruce, Kanchelskis etc etc.

Our lads would have to come in and play alongside Williams, McCarthy, Jagielka, a totally shot to bits Baines, Lennon, a woefully out of form Schneiderlin and Gueye etc etc. That United side had just finished second, and the Premier League hadn't started. Totally, totally different environment, it's incomparable.

Ok but I think you might also be assuming I'm not suggesting we bring in new seasoned players, just not at those positions. Yes we need another striker. Yes we need another seasoned central defender.

This is the problem, right here, in a nutshell.
He's played one game. Last season everyone was going (rightly) bonkers for Schneids.

Unrealistic expectations and mad summarising , completely bogged down in sentiment.

If you're not going to give him a handful of games, you are
1. Not able to see how good or how bad he is
2. Restricting his development
3. Ignoring his potential
4. Might eventually chooses to leave and become a world class players at somewhere else.
5. Keep playing someone out of form
6. Repeating what koeman is doing

If he can handle chealsea away, what makes you think he can't handle Leicester away?

Preach on brother.

Young players always have the biggest potential to improve which is why they need an opportunity. Let him keep playing until his form dips.

Yes, Kenny is better than Martina : but the point being missed here is NEITHER is good enough and we aren't in a position to carry Kenny while he learns to be.
When I read the original quote of "Beni is better than Schneiderlin( I know it's only one game, but if you stop playing him, you'll never know how capable he is) " it really made my eyes role. Even Unsy had Schneiderlin down to start last night . To say the 19 year old Beni is better than 27 year old Scheirderlin who has played at every level in French football including full international , makes me squirm.
Like a lot of people who post in the Everton Youth thread I've been watching Beni since he emerged at the Dallas Tournament back in March 2016 and I've managed to see him play in all the televised u 23 games this season . He's a wonderful talent who stands out in his age group and after last night's performance deserves all the praise he's received. He also deserves to play more first team games , but more than this he deserves to be allowed to develop at a pace that is dictated by Unsworth and others and not be overhyped beyond expectation. All just my opinion of course.

We don't need mass changes, especially with the injured players returning. We need to give the squad a chance to settle. We've signed so many players that they're strangers to each other at the moment.
Too many alike players in midfield - any manager would look at our squad and not relish the challange till January - it is no quick fix that's for sure that's why the last joker got sacked!

Your opinion on these matters counts for more than others on here mate.

That comment really was the absolute pits. I know the guy means well but it's indicative of some of the hive mind madness that has gripped supporters since Monday. Beni did well, he really did, but he isn't better than peak or standard form Schneiderlin yet. Ignore the shadow of a player he has been this season.

Your last sentence....think about that old football saying ,'you're only as good as your last game' . should that be extended to 'last season'?
