Baines best ever game for us was against Ronaldo last season where he didn't get a sniff all game so he's proved he can handle someone as talented as Ronaldo before.

If he doesn't get a run out he's not going to recover his match sharpness it's as simple as that.

I'll be very surprised if he doesn't play tonight and if he doesn't he should just look for a new club because bar Jagielka he's the only defender who has shown any kind of consistency at the moment.

If i was Baines id be handing in a transfer request now. A team like Sunderland would gladly welcome him into the team, play him constantly, and probably pay the same wages.

If he cant get into the team when Lescott is this [Poor language removed], he isnt gona get in at all.

He's got to be wondering what he has to do to get a match with Lescott's poor form.

I admire Moyes for trying to stick with Lescott (and others) through his bad patch but the time has come to shake things up. Start looking for a winning combination of players and once he finds it, stick with it.

Lescott needs to be dropped. I've stuck up for him this season but he simply hasn't repaid my faith. He's backing off wingers far too much and he looks unfit and off the pace in every game.

This is the same man who is one of the best one on one defenders in the League. Somethings definatly wrong, maybe even a physical problem. He looks slow and unfit.

We cry out for squad srength and then when we have it we don't use it. I'm a massive Lescott fan but he isn't doing it. Give Baines a go.

Moyes won't though, he's obsessed with having a tall fullback. I don't mind a player being left out because he's not good enough or out of form but his height issue with Baines is bollocks. As I've mentioned earlier in the thread.

I agree mate, as much as i am a Lescott fan too Baines needs to start a game. Id have him up againt Lennon on sat for sure. He was awsome aginst Newcastle and deserves a chance.

Surely Baines hasn't shrunk since we signed him, so there must be another reason for him not playing, although I can't see it. Lennon will be a huge test for the left back on Sunday, whoever it is, but as height won't be an issue maybe this is his chance.
