Then why didnt try and flog him in January to generate funds? How many of those 24 appearences are full 90minutes playing at LB? He's played more minutes at left wing than he has at LB for us. He hasnt even done 1 full 90minutes I dont think.

There is a reason for that mate! As for never playing 90mins at LB, me thinks someone is stretching the truth somewhat!

I asked you to judge him after a decent run, surely even YOU must admit hes never had a run in the side?

I seen enough at Wigan to know i didnt want him and still dont want him after 24 games in a blue shirt. He isnt good enough

He's only started two games on the left wing since he joined.

He's going to get a run of games now, it'll be interesting to see how he does whether your a fan or not. Hopefully he does well and hopefully the back four isn't too unsettled with the changes.

We'll just have to wait and see.

The 24 appearences he has so far made, he hasnt made more because Moyes knows he is useless and made a massive mistake, thats why he is making excuses for him

...and you were saying something earlier to someone else about stretching the truth?

Look, whether you like it or not, Baines IS going to be given a run at left back now that Yobo is out for awhile.

With the lack of depth in our squad, I really doubt Moyes would sell Baines or anyone in Jan, especially as they've said they don't see anyone coming in.

Warm up to the idea, he may surprise you.

Baines is Quality Fact.

He was our best player in the six or so games he played in the begining of the 07/08 season, He tore Newcastle to shreds at home this season. Personaly i find criticising our full backs wheater they be Baines, Lescott, Hibbert, Neville harsh. i put it down to Moyes's tactics he undouhtedly likes his width to come from full backs as such they bomb on and will undoubhtedly be caught out of positition at times, as we have seen this season. Other teams try to exploit this space and get in behind them when they get forward.

For me you cant have it bot ways its either attacking football down the flanks or fullbacks sitting back, we would be giving out stink if we werent having a go!

For me thats the reason why many would like wingers signed not only would it offer us options going forward it would also perhaps tighten us up at the back.

In conclusion Baines is an excellent footballer, we are lucky to have him.

For me the problem with Lescott, Baines and Hibbert getting caught out of position isn't when they are attacking and it breaks down its when they are defending but still get caught.

Hibbert tends drift inside way too much and daydream, Lescott goes on a wonder wherever he fancies. Although i'd say Baines is the best keeping a good position at the back out of the 3.

Perhaps mate their have been individual errors of that there is no doubht, but has to be said how many goals this season have we been caught on the break for.

Is that why Moyes came up with a pathetic excuse in the summer and why he hasnt played this season with Lescott in very indifferent form until recently. Yeh am stretching the truth bill!

I'm sure he'll take his chance, we look alot more dangerous going forward with Baines at LB.

More dangerous than someone who scored 10 last yr and 3 so far this yr? This baines must be good

Note the bolded bit. Baines won't score as many as Lescott but has better control and is more agile and skillfull so will link up better with a winger and can cross a ball better than Lescott.

So overall we should be even better attacking down the flanks with him and therefor create more chances in the box for other players.

Doesn't mean we will but thats what he offers attacking wise.
