...want this team to be and he’s being used as such. It’s not really arguable at this point. I’ve treated him like a superstar because save for Lukaku he’s the closest thing Everton have had to one in decades. He’s better than Ndiaye, better than Mirallas, better than Pienaar. The kid has it...

...defence, etc. etc., it happens, such is the nature of the game. It's why we looked instantly better under Martinez in his first season - yeah, Lukaku was a HUGE factor, for sure, but so was the fact players weren't afraid to play it out, to try that through ball, to try to run at someone. It...

How ive I been proved wrong on Barry I've said he hasn't improved his game in 8-9 months here can you dispute that ?

If you think we have improved every player on you list then thats your opinion and you think KHD didnt play as he does now with Leicester before Chelsea payed big bucks and in 8 months we have made him the player he is then thats fine

Im thinking it would be interesting to use Dibling at 10 and Ndiaye & George wide with Barry up top. Why? Because we need to twist.

...Well yes I'm quite happy with your suggestion. I think we have to accept that we need to significantly break our transfer record to buy a Lukaku / Yakubu type player. Thiago would be great but I don't think we'd get him regardless of fee. Even more radical is changing the shape of the team...

...the league. How did he fare with Utd and Spurs? Do you remember the 8 years before Moyes took over when we were nearly relegated every season. If Moyes had have had one quick striker or winger in the Lukaku or Kanchelskis mould we would have won far more games away at the top 4. But we never did.

...for Moyes to rejoin he has rejoined at a time where only 2 of the current PL teams have spent more than us in the last 1/2 decade. If you put Lukaku or Yakubu up front for Everton on Saturday we would’ve won, but he has the strikers he does and he has the full backs he does. I know your...

Are we wasting a shirt playing a "9" every week?

...as a false nine a couple of times...once against Arsenal IIRC. Imagine Ndiaye in that role. Only difference being is that we had pace in that attack too with Lukaku out wide and Mirallas...and we also had Pienaar in behind Naismith playing him forward passes (which Garner could probably do...

    2025/26 David Moyes

In his first period, Moyes djd sign Yakubu, Johnson & Beattie for big money at the time. If we budgeted £60mil for a centre forward then you'd like to think that some of the closer games would turn into draws or wins. The same goes for the full back positions. One thing though, we'd still...

The results are the same at these grounds whether it’s Cahill Yakubu Pienaar in attack, Lukaku Mirallas Barkley, Siggurdson Richarlison Calvert Lewin, or Ndiaye Barry/Beto Grealish KDH. We can keep saying ‘if we get a competent striker and some fullbacks’ but plenty of Everton teams have had...

Think that’s the end of him at us now after this. Got the ego of Lukaku with the ability of Niasse.

The emoji represents his knowledge for sure. He’s fortunate that so many old threads have been deleted. I just searched Everton’s 2-0 loss at hull city on NYD 2015, but it’s gone, I’d be interested to see his take that day when we lost with the likes of Baines, Coleman and Lukaku

Yakubu was a proper finisher. Loved him and heard a recent interview where he said we were his favourite club.

Lukaku was the last prolific striker that we signed… Since then, there’s been some absolute stinkers. Off the top of my head: Kone, Niasse, Tosun, Ramirez, Moise Kean, King Rondon, and les Français knobhead Maupay. Setting aside DCL (to an extent), and of course, an over the hill Eto. That...
