2025/26 Thierno Barry

What would you say "radical" looks like to Moyes?

To me, radical would mean selling both & signing one clear starter e.g Thiago and one wunderkind e.g Kroupi.

Thats radical.

For Moyes, radical is selling Beto for £15mil and signing someone like Delap for £30mil so Chelsea get their money back for a flop.
My definition of radical....

Well yes I'm quite happy with your suggestion. I think we have to accept that we need to significantly break our transfer record to buy a Lukaku / Yakubu type player. Thiago would be great but I don't think we'd get him regardless of fee.

Even more radical is changing the shape of the team and playing 2 strikers in say a 3/5/2 formation.

Or even ( and no Moyes would never contemplate this ) a false 9.

Not going to regurgitate the perpetual Moyes arguments but he massively lacks creative thinking.

It's astonishing to me that with the continued failure of Barry Beto he keeps selecting one or other and expecting things to improve.

Im thinking it would be interesting to use Dibling at 10 and Ndiaye & George wide with Barry up top.

Why?

Because we need to twist.

That's not radical though, that's just Football Manager nonsense tbh, you are talking £100m+ for those two.

Unpopular opinion but I don't see what he's done that's so bad.

He gave tickets to some friends in our end, who got battered by some of our fans.

The only first hand account I've heard is the lad on here who seemed legit and said he didn't see/hear them do anything.

That's a small sample size but I don't see what justifies the violence.

What's he supposed to do, not say anything about it.

The fans involved should be banned imo.

Pretty sure our fans are not going to just start on these lads for absolutely no reason.

In the end Barry will believe whatever they tell him, as you tend to trust what your mates say. So he lashed out on the socials directing the finger at the fans. Even if this 'they support Arsenal' is false, you can assume someone might have given stick to Barry and they've reacted, which then started the mini brawl.

Players family and friends should be sitting in the hospitality section of the ground, so this type of thing never happens.

Onana is a great example. Crap with us, crap with Villa, and like Barry took a preposterous penalty in a critical cup tie for us.

Good riddance.

I have to disagree. I think he has something about him and he'll get better with time but probably not here. Lack of patience plus physicality of the league in my opinion. Which is admittedly worthless
Think your clutching at straws mate! The guys got no ability, ball control or ⁹sense of movement and awareness.

Flogging a dead horse with this guy mate. Was obvious to see after his first TWO cameo games which I pointed out on here at the time. Has'nt the intelligence to outfox classy Prem defenders. Doubt he would even make it in the lower English lge's. One things for certain - We won't get anywhere near our money back.

Yeah I don't think he'll make it in the premier league either

I think you know my feelings with Dibling at 10 but what I will say is that Dibling / Barry partnership would be far too physically weak for the PL.

To play up front you have to be either powerful , skillfull or pacy and preferably have at least 2 of those attributes.

I honestly don't know what Barry offers in the PL.

Remember being in the leeds home end in 91 due to not getting an away ticket and keeping my mouth shut. Mainly down to the leeds fans around me looking like the patients from one flew over the cuckoo's nest.

Lost 1-0. Beardsley was the only decent player we had.
My best one was Wrexham away ... Rooney time. Me and a mate were let down on a ticket so picked up a spare at the ground..home stand tho. I lost the toss so sat with them with an Everton shirt on .... but to be fair, all they did was quiz me about Rooney asking how good he was !
I didn't celebrate the goals obviously 😅

I was stood next to the group of black fans that were attacked. I was told that they were family/friends of our players before KO.... they looked like 2 or three different family groups, but they may have all been together. I didn't see any of them celebrate the goals (but there were a couple behind too, so I could've missed it), but one of them made the stupid decision to film the ground as Arsenal celebrated the goal, and everyone around reacted. The 3 next to me (looked like a man and wife with teenage son) looked pretty scared tbh.... amd there were a few racist shouts too. I managed to calm the loons trying to get to them in our row, but it was coming from all around by then.... and the black lads further along were having to defend themselves from behind and in front.... so it quickly began to escalate a bit. Stewards and police started to intervene and it got dragged further along the row. The few remaining near me waited for it to calm down before leaving. Not very pleasant tbh. I'm assuming that they may have been his family/friends.... seemed to be a mixture of accents.

I've no idea if any were Arsenal fans Tbh, but I can't say anything really, I've sat with home fans all over the place and mostly got away with it. Wasn't pleasant seeing the rascist stuff and the family group looking terrified though.

So according to you. Everton conceded a second goal in a game that we all knew was over as soon as we conceded the first goal. Someone got their phone out and this was enough to turn dozens of away evertonians in blood thirsty racists?

Strange, if this did happen. Then why is it such a isolated incident? If the away support is so trigger happy why isnt this happening more often?

Also why isnt there a video of you? Its werid that theres all these videos of people fighting but a lone Evertonian sheilding a family from the reformation of the third Reich. Youd think that would of been recorded.

Ill be honest theres alot of holes in your story here and i think either youve made it up or leaving out/missing a good portion of details.

And for anyone asking why would anyone make that up?

I dont know but what i do know from being on this forum for years is every summer transfer window. Good sensible posters suddenly pretend their ITK for no reason.

If youre proven right, then I'll be more then happy to apologise obviously and accept ive been talking wham. But personally i feel like you're story couldnt be more suspect if it had kevin spacey with a limp in it.

The thing is though mate, if they didn’t do anything then why did they get a slapping? If they were sitting there quiet, not celebrating Arsenal’s goals then they would have just blended in as Everton fans. Wouldn’t make sense for Everton fans to attack someone not doing anything.

There aren’t many people who go to Everton away games who are a) black and b) don’t have English as a first language. It’s not particularly difficult to imagine some people putting two and two together and getting 5 I don’t think. Not saying that’s what’s happened, just that it’s fairly to see how it could come about.

The Blues are a great away support. They don't kick off for nothing.
