2025/26 Thierno Barry

I dont know about anyone else ... but I won't even go the pub to watch a derby with red mates for fear of what might happen if we get whooped and they celebrate it .... but that's just me. And im 60. 😂
But I've been in the home section a few times in the past for away games and behaved accordingly for obvious reasons.
Fans shouldn't mix and Barry is a fool for letting them into that situation... its just common sense!

I'm not even that arsed over the incident.

It's very disappointing if people have been racially abused because they've been grouped together with possible arsenal supporters.

I can understand them getting a slap if they were winding blues up or supporting arsenal in the away end. Anyone who's been to a match in England should know that supporters are segregated for their own safety. Whoever brought them to that away section and they themselves share the responsibility for the consequences incurred by their behaviour.

I'd like to draw a line under it and just get back to talking about how crap he is as a striker.

Beto gets abuse for every miscontrol but this lad seems to have a section of support excusing everything because he's a young 23.

No one was racially abused, I know for a fact from some lads who were by the incident.

Just you and Tom who pushing this narrative, like it's some sort of self gratification calling out something that didn't happen.

Ah common sense...not words that are normally associated with most players nowadays

We have 3wks without a game after Saturday, we need to be well away from this conversation by then.

Everyone agrees Barry completely messed up off the pitch, we need to get back to Barry on the pitch or those 3wks will kick off a storm.

I’d love to see it roll on just to see Barry get booed. Awful player who is so arrogant way above his talent. He’s lucky he’s not homegrown, otherwise would have treated him much worse by now.

Remember being in the leeds home end in 91 due to not getting an away ticket and keeping my mouth shut. Mainly down to the leeds fans around me looking like the patients from one flew over the cuckoo's nest.

Lost 1-0. Beardsley was the only decent player we had.

I've sat in the home end with opposition fans about ten times over the years, and with the exception of Nurenburg, I never once let anyone twig that I was a blue (though I think a few suspected me at Birmingham City!😂). I sat there and watched the game, and the biggest reaction I gave to the blues would've been a quick grin or grimace as we scored/conceded. I played the game because I knew that I shouldn't even be there, I was taking a ticket that a home fan could've used. I knew that it would be pure stupidity to take the mick out of the home fans. I behaved responsibly and respectfully. Its not complicated ffs and anyone with a modicum of common sense should understand how to behave in that position. I've never had to sit in the away end at Goodison or the new place but, if I had then I'd have been double sensible because away crowds are even less likely to tolerate bellends.

Is this like the time you told us all it weren’t a white male driving the car in the title parade attacks?

Every rugby ( union ) match Ive ever been to, even a final At Twickenham had zero segregation anywhere in the ground or outside.

I’ve never even thought about it tbh, as it’s just totally normal that the fans mix with no problems.

I believe some of the league games can get a bit tasty outside the ground - Saints and Warrington being one ( no idea why though )

I've been to a few Saints Warrington games through work and can confirm there is a bit of needle. The Warrington fans actually chant "you scouse bas*ards" to Saints which is quite bizarre 🤣
