2025/26 Thierno Barry

I'm not even that arsed over the incident.

It's very disappointing if people have been racially abused because they've been grouped together with possible arsenal supporters.

I can understand them getting a slap if they were winding blues up or supporting arsenal in the away end. Anyone who's been to a match in England should know that supporters are segregated for their own safety. Whoever brought them to that away section and they themselves share the responsibility for the consequences incurred by their behaviour.

I'd like to draw a line under it and just get back to talking about how crap he is as a striker.

Beto gets abuse for every miscontrol but this lad seems to have a section of support excusing everything because he's a young 23.

He's a 23 year old man-child that's never been told no, or had to act like a responsible adult. I'd been working full time for over seven years at his age. I get that times have changed, but they haven't changed so much that being 23 and acting like a spoilt teenager is acceptable. He has one job, play football to the best of his ability, while training hard and conducting himself professionally. I don't know what he's like in training, but if that's the best he can do on the pitch, then he's crap. And as far as the acting professionally part goes. Well he's failed on that score on every leval, which is more then he's ever done and ever likely to do on the pitch!

If Gana can come back from a red at United, he can come back.

Clearly some education needed from the club. Ive been by Demarai Gray, Godfrey and McNeils family at the match, and they actively back everton and their family.

If they want to support Arsrnal, thats their choice, but Barry could have just got them tickets in corporate, not like he doesnt earn £30k a week (at min).

All totally avoidable. Everton fans whether right or wrong, being annoyed at losing in that manner is somewhat understandable.

Barry a young lad, seems naive if he didnt expect that to happen.

Draw a line, learn your lessons and hope common sense prevails. Doesnt change the fact we still need a goalscorer who'll slot 20 a season (easier said than done).
I'm not greedy, I'm not going to ask for the next rom, even a yak would do

I went to the Prem Rugby Final yesterday. I follow Leicester. There were Exeter fans stood with their flags about 10 feet away. Was anyone arsed? No.

There is so much wrong with football.

Every rugby ( union ) match Ive ever been to, even a final At Twickenham had zero segregation anywhere in the ground or outside.

I’ve never even thought about it tbh, as it’s just totally normal that the fans mix with no problems.

I believe some of the league games can get a bit tasty outside the ground - Saints and Warrington being one ( no idea why though )

A lot of people bought into the "project" and the "investment" made by our competent professionals in this asinine fellow. Beto had no such capital in their minds, but I've never felt him inferior to Barry. He is utterly limited, but I don't particularly doubt his attitude in the way I do the "investment". Seems to me a lot of people were quick to dismiss Beto - in comparison to Barry - purely because 27m was at stake, but the entirety of last sumer's window is in write-off territory with the exception of KDH if people are honest. Beto had already been written off. The competent professionals have got this one wrong, but none of them will put their hands up and admit as much. Sunk-cost fallacy.

I'd give Beto the rest of the season in the team and prepare to cut my losses on Barry.

It does make me wonder if they'd have had patience with Beto if he was a few years younger.

23 isn't young in footy but some people make out like he's fresh out of nappies and has the world at his feet to develop into Thierry Henry.

He is what he is and that's a disappointment.
