2025/26 David Moyes

But I do love hypotheticals like that tbh - "what if we'd scored and were 2:0 up". Well, lads, if we'd scored the 1st one in the 16th minute the game would've changed - Moyes would instantly try to lock it down and try to squeak a 1:0 win for 75 minutes, which has worked about 5 times in the last 20 years against the top 4, so we're likely conceding more as we park the bus and hope for the best. So even at that, what happens if we score isn't the same outcome.

You brought a penalty that never happened, I brought up goals that never happened 🤷‍♂️

You blamed the Cb's for the goal, Pickford flapped that.

Your argument would hold more balance if you didn't make up scenarios that didn't happen..

I'll see you in the Dyche thread later..

And god that was a long post 🥴

I mean you can see the replay and their striker is the wrong side of Keane who then clips his trailing leg. We were extremely fortunate it wasn’t a penalty. Pretending Keane had a good game when he’s an extremely fortunate VAR call away from giving away a penalty and maybe even a red card is a bit of a stretch.

The goal is obviously a Pickford error but my complaint is that a cross has come across the area without either CB doing anything, it’s then been bundled back across at the back post, and then tapped in in the middle of the goal with numerous free Arsenal players available and not anywhere in the sequence has either of our CBs got near the ball.

Yeah, cause we really held back in the first half yesterday didn't we.

You are talking overall, that doesn't work for yesterday which was the point put out..
Why didn't we continue that trend in the 2nd half?
Mate its constant excuse, yesterday last year or a decade ago.

The fact is lesser clubs and worse teams have won at these places before, why, because they approach the game with belief.
Its a trend of his throughout his career, the stats speak for itself.

The results are the same at these grounds whether it’s Cahill Yakubu Pienaar in attack, Lukaku Mirallas Barkley, Siggurdson Richarlison Calvert Lewin, or Ndiaye Barry/Beto Grealish KDH.

We can keep saying ‘if we get a competent striker and some fullbacks’ but plenty of Everton teams have had two of the best fullbacks in the prem and at some stages some good strikers too and we go to these grounds and make no attempt to win.

And they were extremely fortunate to not be behind.

Look at both actions not just one to criticise us.

Because Moyes sets out to not lose, has he ever set out to attack and win from the off ?

Maybe if the HT teamtalk was to continue to attack Pickfords mistake may not have happened or may not have led to a defeat but maybe a draw.
From my eyes watching that 2nd half looked like they were instructed to park the bus, if they weren't instructed to do that, I didn't see Moyes at any point telling the team to get uo the pitch.

Constant excuse, you're not the only person that has gone through this.

I'm not making any excuses for previous games this season or previous years we've been through.

Yesterday was not one to hold over his or the players heads..

He stuck Garner at Rb, if anybody should be complaining regarding that move, it's me..

Yesterday is a very weak stick to hit him with..

Hindsight is a wonderful thing isn't it.
We don't know what was said in that dressing room.

Maybe it's because they have a vastly superior squad then us.

I said before mate it's not so much about yesterday as I thought we played well, but, Arsenal were there for the taking and we never even tried in the 2nd half. Why? IMO we lost that yesterday because of our approach and mentality. (Again same old story)
This is the reason why he has an appealing record at grounds like this, no balls to attack them, no idea how to unlock teams, apart from Burnley he has no idea how to keep the ball or sustain pressure on the opposition.

He is a very limited manager and that's why we should move him on in the summer because the best we can hope for is where we are now and expect defeats and poor performances against all the teams I mentioned before.

The results are the same until they aren’t.
