2025/26 David Moyes

I didn't see a penalty given.
I did see Pickford flap a cross though.

We lost last night, but you can't question the effort we put in.

We could have been 2-0 up at half time..

But we never are.

This argument would carry more weight if there were games against the sky six when we took chances and routinely beat them. Then there might be something in the ‘we could have been 2 up’ argument. We could have been 3 up at Anfield last season, we should have been 2 up in the last Goodison derby, we should have been 1 up at City this season. We weren’t though.

We never ever are, and when it keeps happening there’s a pattern. In big games Everton don’t take chances, and we tend to concede from the few we give away. We hit the wrong sides of the post, their keeper had a worldie, there’s some bad refereeing. Whatever the excuse is each time the outcome always ends up the same way.

In front of fans we haven’t won at Anfield, Highbury/Emirates, Stamford Bridge, going back close to 3 decades.

We’ve won twice at Old Trafford in that time, one when Moyes was their manager, and the other at possibly the worst most disjointed United team of the PL era.

The Spurs fixture is now stretching on close to two decades and they’ve been absolutely tragic at times in that period.

We had a bit of joy against City under Moyes whilst they became a powerhouse but as soon as they have that record is now getting on for over a decade.

Obviously Moyes isn’t to blame for all this time, but I also don’t think he’s the manager to throw off many of these records either.

Meanwhile Sunderland win at Stamford Bridge fist season back in the prem, Forest have won at Anfield two years in a row, Bournemouth have won at Arsenal, Palace have won a few times at Anfield, they’ve won at the Etihad too. Brentford have won at some of these grounds.

It needs to stop. We can’t just keep turning up at these grounds defending for a draw and then bringing out the sob story when we inevitably concede.

ha ha soiling his kecks more lies

every away game at the big so called clubs we’ve deserved something

we could of won had our chances went in
no strikers virtually all game

no first choice Cbs

ok lad
Same old story
We could of
We should of
If we

Arsenal at home 0 points 0 goals
Chelsea away 0 points 0 goals
Utd away 3 points 1 goal
Utd at Home 0 points 0 goals
Arsenal Away 0 Points 0 goals
Spurs at home 0 points 0 goals
Liverpool away 0 points 1 goal

The proofs in the pudding, he won't attack these teams, he's scared of them all.

Oh look at his record against these teams over 20 years

Well said

We even had the same “punching above our weight “ remarks yesterday, Henry Winter.

It’s so boring, where is the excitement.

To be fair yesterday I thought McNeil was unlucky with his effort and things might of been different.

At least one decent forward, left back and right back have to be the priority in the summer surely?

It’s annoying how we have to play catch up with ourselves each window due to poor decision making.
Yup, last summer was supposed to be about getting rid of some of the dead wood but not all of it as we still needed bodies and couldn't rid ourselves of everyone we wanted to at once.

This summer will now be about trying to rid ourselves of the rest of the dead wood but also needing to move on Barry and others who came in and are not up to scratch, it seems.

Prepare yourself for "It's a difficult window because of the World Cup."

there will be arguments again about who is kept on, likes of Keane, Coleman etc.

It’s like we have to keep these players because we have to sort out other positions that haven’t been rectified either by no one signed or the player who has been brought in isnt up to it.

Vicious cycle and it’s monotonous.

You brought a penalty that never happened, I brought up goals that never happened 🤷‍♂️

You blamed the Cb's for the goal, Pickford flapped that.

Your argument would hold more balance if you didn't make up scenarios that didn't happen..

I'll see you in the Dyche thread later..

And god that was a long post 🥴

There is no argument for Coleman. He's finished at the end of this month when Ireland go out of the World Cup.

Plenty will want to keep Keane. But we need to buy a new CB as Tarkowski is now aging and declining. Who knows what Branthwaite's situation truly is. But yes, you are correct. We will hear lots of excuses masquerading as reasons not to do what we really need to do: which is to engage in wholesale change. The "you can't do it all in one window" excuse cannot fly when we didn't do ANYTHING in two of the three Friedkin windows to date. We need to do everything to maximise our attractiveness as a club. Having an old-school manager who doesn't develop young players, doesn't play them, and is barely known on the continent (except for being a failure at Man United) is not maximising our attractiveness.

Wake up, it has nothing to do with the strikers but has everything to do with how he sets the team up against these clubs.
Yeah, cause we really held back in the first half yesterday didn't we.

You are talking overall, that doesn't work for yesterday which was the point put out..
