Nah I don’t think so Kev. Look at everything that’s happened in the last few days re. Sanctions. This doesn’t get forgottenIt will end up being a forgotten war like Donbas
I can see it now.
And back to getting his oil and gas within a year.

Really salient point:
I know, its just ours (Croats) who joining are majority hard right wing who idolize Ustase (Fascist Croatian state from WW2). At least that was case in 2014We all know about Azov. Anyway, reading reddit people are joining from all political fractions to help defend Ukraine

Yeah the world contains places like Africa and parts of the Middle East and Asia as well, Europe and USA would be way higher obvs. This was the report I was working off, happy to be corrected as always. It does look like credit card penetration is roughly in line with the world average, though

I think that’s fair. So many ‘enablers’ here that will take Russian money and circumvent the rules - sanctions be damned. It won’t, but the self-described “realists” are going to do their best to.
Very fair - although the pendulum has most certainly swung decisively against those who would support or facilitate Russia in the future. I pray to god it remains that way.TBF I don’t think 3 has gone away - in Europe that shower of facilitators have shut up, not given up.
In the US most of the alt-right are mostly openly pro-Putin, from Trump downwards. Boebert even called for Canada and the US to be liberated “like Ukraine is” (which she did try to qualify saying she supports Ukraine, albeit it makes no sense to say they’ve been liberated given what’s going on.

I'm so disappointed in him..Ffs the big red machine.
Veiled?I can understand someone playing Devil's advocate but your veiled support for Russia is worrying.
tbh this is the stuff I'm sick of. Have you heard of Julian Assange. He's not in witness protection, he is dying in a British prison. For what? A journalist who gave the world evidence of NATO's form of warmongering.NATO doesn't make countries not be independent though? it's just a bloody alliance - one that Russia could have been part of. They aren't perfect, far from it. The West aren't. Nobody is. But we're looking at something totally different here.
No it wasn't inevitable that Russia would go to war for those reasons. The only reason is because there's a lunatic dictator in charge of that country. He's rigged elections, killed off political opponents, invaded Georgia and annexed part of Ukraine previously (long before any talk of them being in NATO). He is obsessed with the return of some form of the Soviet Union, it seems.
You know who was top of Russia's hit list for a good few years - may even still well be? The bloody doctor who was on that Icarus documentary. He is currently - and has been for some years - hiding under witness protection in the US. For a doctor who revealed a doping scandal...
This is what we're dealing with here. No need to play devil's advocate.

Putin is not a 'madman', 'lunatic' that should make us feel morally superior in the west. He is a product of the collapse of Soviet Russia.
This war was inevitable as long as western markets kept pushing into the East.
The west is playing a very dangerous game. To dismiss the war as the whim of a madman is just western posturing.
Why would you put yourself on ignore?Another tit goes on ignore
And this is what the west does so well. we've made an art form out of manufacturing consentAssange is actually in a British prison awaiting extradition. His medical problems may have been caused / worsened because he squatted in an embassy for years in order to successfully avoid rape charges.
That doesn't count as an explanation, sir.Give it over
