Imagine thinking you'd won the Cold War in the 90s, only to lose it 30 years later because your Boomer aunts and uncles can't distinguish between reality and propaganda on Facebook and now support Russian aggression.

Not sure what point you are trying to make, but I very much doubt anyone over the age of 55/60 would support Russian aggression….

Certainly was my assumption as well, but it seems to be the online age profile that thinks Ukraine should be demanding peace on any terms and that the US/West should be withdrawing all support for fear of prolonging the conflict. I'm not sure how you can otherwise square total capitulation with not supporting Russian aggression, but I'll bow to your experience given that a supporter of Brexit has more experience of being manipulated by Russia than I do.

Anwyay who knows, maybe all these online commenters are just bots from the Gulag troll farms and don't really exist?

So 10 years of nothing then. Apart from dead Ukrainians

Putin - or more accurately Russia - are going nowhere.
No not just dead Ukrainians, your boys are dying too and in greater numbers (you never mention those) enough with the faux empathy.. but at least the Ukrainians are dying for a cause. Their country has been invaded so a nut case can have his name in Russian history as a man who expanded Rusdian territory. That is what you are supporting the destruction of a country for no reason other than grabbing land.

It is shameful that Ukrainians should want to live peacefully in their own country. It is shameful that Ukraine should want to protect its citizens from aggression.

Furthermore, it is wrong that they should want to retake all their country, and instead should accept the wishes of those far away to give up their land.

That's the sentiment some comrades on here believe, right? For me, as long as Ukraine wants to keep fighting for their own soil and people, they've got my support.

Russia started this war, not Ukraine. I've said all along it will eventually be resolved by negotiations, but right now the terms Russia would want aren't it.

I've also said all along that, rightly or wrongly, it's in the west's own selfish interests to arm and support Ukraine, so they will continue to do so.

I disagree that the Donbas or Crimea is the Kiev regimes territory as a starting point.
