Romania. It's a few years off, but our longer term plan. I love the place, much slower pace of life than here and a good standard of living.Wheres that mate?
Weve been talking for years to move back to my birth country and leaving here!
Some of them boomers don't even claim Pension Credit 850,000 estimated- I hope they claim it now via age concern ..... just to show her not a great claw back after all- only the very rich OAPs should have lost the feul payment a socialist principle...It’s about time we clawed a bit back from the boomers.
I’m sure those who need the payment the most will still receive it.Some of them boomers don't even claim Pension Credit 850,000 estimated- I hope they claim it now via age concern ..... just to show her not a great claw back after all- only the very rich OAPs should have lost the feul payment a socialist principle...
No, I voted for the idiot who thinks it’s sexy to behave like a cat on live tv
Oh, it's just the Forecast for the 'price cap', guessing from Martin Lewis' Money Saving Expert stuff who draw on Cornwall Analysis.I was going to say that. Ive seen nothing about gas/elec rises coming..
Gas and electricity is predicted to, but linked to the Energy Price cap set by Ofgem. It's just that though, a prediction at the moment. They're still giving the allowance to people on pension benefits - they are just removing it for people who are not.
I'm not even sure that last bit is true - sounds like another imaginary Daily Mail tax/increase - but the price of energy has been going through the roof for years, which again was all Russia's fault. The war is still going on but if it goes up under Labour it will all of a sudden be their fault?
The legacy of whom ??Too old now mate, anyone young needs to get out of this hellhole of a country as it's like a merry-go-round of governments just clobbering the average Joe .....
As you say, its still a fair bit cheaper than last years!!Oh, it's just the Forecast for the 'price cap', guessing from Martin Lewis' Money Saving Expert stuff who draw on Cornwall Analysis.

Still all lower than it has been the last couple of years. Not saying things could jump depending on events.
Aye. Well, I fixed my mar's supply with Octopus which will insulate from the rise in October and is roughly what she is paying now. £0 exit fees, so if things drop again it's no hassle to move to a better deal.As you say, its still a fair bit cheaper than last years!!
A lot of the Tories are peeved at 'fiscal drag', or the freezing of tax thresholds meaning folk getting dragged into higher bands. I doubt Labour will change anything there, but of course the Tories will make a huge deal out of it, most likely confidently forgetting they instigated the current long term freezing in response to covid debts. One of the Tories I know keeps telling me about all these extra taxes that are coming my way, but yet I haven't seen any of them - he is recently retired so I'm guessing it is due to being sat on Twitter all day believing the other Tories.
Yet, when we got hammered by Kwarteng and Truss, it was 'about time you lot started paying higher mortgage rates' you can't make it up.
