Why lock down capital expenditure - I admit some schemes were stupid, but remember the words "we need growth" provide proper jobs & you get tax in & NI ... in the treasury - I can see this lot will put inflation back up with most Unions now wanting big rises in pay ....
Whilst I don't disagree with wages increasing to meet the ever increasing cost of living, it does look like that the money will be taken from areas which would have a positive impact on the public coffers.

It's just been a few weeks and Labour is not convincing me right now.

Remember the words no more austerity - yet they are leaving the rich the Royal family { 45 million extra for two new helicopters} alone ...

Don’t forget the Reeves repeated quote of ‘If we can’t afford it, we can’t do it’…unless it’s for public sector above inflation pay rises of course. Meanwhile the poor OAPs who have been robbed by a supposedly Labour government really will be applying the ‘If we can’t afford it, we can’t do it’ mantra when it comes to switching on the heating this winter…the first death due to this outrageous piece of callous Union arse licking will be forever a stain upon a supposedly progressive social caring party and each and every MP supporting it should be shamed……

...and handing them massive payments to place wind turbines on the coastline they 'own', dont forget.

The utter mugs who voted for the Red Tories brought all this to us.

It'll be interesting to see how Starmer's Party react to these scenes in Southport.

They've all but abandoned any opposition to the criminalisation of migrants so they'll have to do a 180 on this if they want to attack the fascists on the streets.

It should be quite simple:

i) legal consequences for social media firms who distribute this sort of thing
ii) legal consequences for anyone caught rioting for their own purposes in a place that has suffered the tragedy that Southport has
