Aye. Well, I fixed my mar's supply with Octopus which will insulate from the rise in October and is roughly what she is paying now. £0 exit fees, so if things drop again it's no hassle to move to a better deal.

Worth shopping around now @Joey66 If you're worried.

Should probably post this in the cost if living thread tbf.
I have stocked up on 2 ton of smokeless nuggets logs etc plus nutty slack runs 6 radiators plus all the hot water:(;)

I paid more NI & tax all my working life from the age of 16 years old - 70 hours overtime a month in the spring - I am OK financially, but this is a Labour Government mate - the bankers the Non Doms the high earners who profited far more with that illegal NI deduction - you tell me how is that a socialist Labour Government - you can't - end of -

Good luck trying to school the Thatcher's Children Joey.

They're utterly clueless...and frightening.

Even Thatcher never did that - she hammered the workforce - tried to do something to the disabled & the revolt was so bad she stopped it - as ministers warned her she would be out .... I worked all the hours I could just to pay my mortgage - a very despised government - the Falklands saved her in one election ... I welcome the ground that came to her ......

He’s very upset that the government have taken his Winter heating allowance away, as he now has to pay out of his own pocket, to heat his crop in the Winter.
⭐️Thank you.

Does he know that if he stops buying Avocados and Costa’s, that’ll save him about £30 to £50 a week which will mean he’ll be able to easily pay for his fuel?

I have enough coal & nutty slack in stock - what happened yesterday was not socialism - an ex banker never taxed the Bankers bonuses - shock horror - & the is worse to come its Austerity all over again - Labour have lied - 3 weeks in & they have hit the poor not me, but people OAPs who are just above the pension credit criteria if the Tories had done that - melt down on here ....

Joey, all the mugs on here who voted for Starmer's Gangsters are embarrassed about it now but are trying to hide it by making 'jokes' about the suffering their decisions will cause.

Classy. Very classy.

Dont eat that muck, mate .... Labours green policy will bankrupt the country -scrapping oil & gas licences before British Energy Ltd is foolish - saying that what do you expect of Ed Miliband - thick as a Brick doing that you transfer over .....slowly .... petrol prices will rise definitely

A lot of the Tories are peeved at 'fiscal drag', or the freezing of tax thresholds meaning folk getting dragged into higher bands. I doubt Labour will change anything there, but of course the Tories will make a huge deal out of it, most likely confidently forgetting they instigated the current long term freezing in response to covid debts.
Fiscal drag is about the only thing that I can see is acceptable as a necessary evil in getting more tax revenue in.

Sure Grandad, let’s get you to bed.

Why lock down capital expenditure - I admit some schemes were stupid, but remember the words "we need growth" provide proper jobs & you get tax in & NI ... in the treasury - I can see this lot will put inflation back up with most Unions now wanting big rises in pay ....
