Succession Planning - Managerial Wishlist

Things are moving NOW .. If we can muster the belief, the foresight and the courage, we have a really attractive offer to put before either Iraola or Glasner.

The Project appeal of the club, the fans, the history and the new stadium is there. If along with this TFG offer sound financial backing and vision, we absolutely must be pitching in and being part of these conversations.

It will be yet another awful end of the season marker if the club just sits on its hands and watches this all play out.

The CEO has confirmed they're happy with Moyes and they don't want to be a part of the merry go round of managers this summer

Theres literally no point in getting wound up where Glasner or Ireola end up because it won't be at Everton.

He can say what he wants Mac (I wouldnt believe him if he said it was hot outside ) , he wont be the first to basically give a vote of confidence to a manager and it all going sour. Ultimately it will be Friedkins decision.

Results and above all else the fans will dictate what happens.
Most fans seem to have turned agst him now , just wait til he starts signing his players this summer.

Dont club administrators and ownership pledge support all the time with minimal intent of backing those words of the results aren't delivered upon? I always remember clubs coming out with a statement of impassioned support for an under pressure manager to end up sacking them like a week or two later

I agree with what you and @blulouie are saying. But the tone of his message wasnt one of supporting an under pressure manager, the tone of his mesaage was one of "he's got our backing because we're happy with the job he's doing".

It wasnt like a vote of confidence imo, it was a genuine "we're in great hands" article.

I'd be absolutely shocked if anyone inside of Everton are remotely aware of how angry and disillusioned the fan base is with this seasons finish and the thought of anither year of dire home performances and lack of squad rotation.

Very true, saw a Palace fan interviewed on the news last night he said he was milking all this up,couldn’t believe it because in his words it’s never happening again.👍
It does give hope that there is still life for smaller clubs. A decent manager, a well run club and a bit of ambition and you have god football, the FA cup and a Euro trophy in 12 months.

It seems to me so far that TFG just want premier league status for the club...to protect the valuable asset that fell in to their lap.
A safe bet with Moyes for that wish to be fulilled but nothing more.
I don't think in any way this takeover should be thought of in the same league as city and Chelsea's were.
Those new owners wanted blue chip silverware and quick.
I fear this summer will see our flagship signing being either Grealish or a Delap.
I often wonder what would have happened if Russia had not invaded.
I truly feel Usmanov and Mosh in the end would have thrown the kitchen sink at it for a title challenge.
Let's be honest about it, forgetting the stadium they chucked league title winning money in to the team.....sadly all duds but i can't blame them for that. Their heart and money was obvious.
This summer should go some way to tell us what TFG's plan is for this club.
Do they genuinley want a top 6 side in Europe?
Or do the want prem stability and an unbranded multi use state of the art stadium to market for world events?
All before they cash in.
If it's true about Moyes then it looks like the latter to me. And that's from someone who argued moyse's case until last week.

I hear what you are saying Mac .
But that statement came days before the Sunderland debarcle and the dire Spurs performance. Plus Moyes ( doesnt understand the fans ) attitude and body language in the pressers.
I think many that were prepared to give him another year have swiftly changed tack . The booing and walking with their feet at the last home game should send shock waves through the club , it will definately have not gone unnoticed.

It would take a monumental shift now to get the fans back onside.
Unless we have a fantastic tranfer window with some real quality players it will only get worse.

Moshiri and Usmanov were responsible for us hiring Benitez so if you think they had our best interests at heart or that kind of ambition i think you're way off with that view

I certainly don't think they were here to squander hundreds of millions of their "own" money without having our best interests at heart? Do you honestly think that.
Shame as we'll never know now what may have happened iif the crap never hit the fan.
I am betting though the stadium would have shouted it was the home of Everton.

The CEO gave his summary of the season, when we still had a chance of Europe, before we played the penultimate game. They were happy with the seasons work before the season was finished, and even spoke like we had already failed.

Re Glasner and Iraola, whilst money is a strong attraction, we are a bigger and more historic club, with great potential compared to where they have left. But both can pick any job in world football based on what they have done (rightly or wrongly since Moyes has out pointed them since he came back!). They are both entering the market with their stock as high as it will ever be.

It sounded to me like he was trying to buy them both an extra year, he just totally slipped up with the 2nd window timeframe.

At the moment I do see him here next season, a few more games and Interviews though might have done it.

Maybe talksport will do the job for us, though it could also break us after a month of ego patting.

I think Moshiri was an over excitable man without a clue how to run a football club. Maybe he did have ambition but keeping Kenwright in situ suggests he wasn't as ambitious as you're suggesting
