we need a manager who is also a top class coach. using iraola as an example, for all his talented players like junior kroupi, semenyo (before he left) and alex scott, look at the way he improved bournemouth's average players that were already there like tavenier. we have a lot of dross that needs to go up a few levels if we are to be successful

DM had this season to make his case for the job longer time and he has failed.

Iriola being available is a great opportunity for the club to get a proven over achiever. Glasner is my second choice.

I cannot understand smart businessmen giving any of their hard earned to a bloke who is a mediocrity.

No matter what TFG think about how Moyes has done, they should definitely be making an approach for the likes of Glasner or Iraola so we can kick on regardless. Moyes was only ever brought in for stability and was never a long term appointment as can be seen by how quickly it all went sour.

He's been linked with Palace this morning, if we allow that to happen without having a conversation with him, we need to give up.

I think Iraola will go on to be the better coach in the longer term but Glasner feels a bit more suited to taking over from Moyes imo

We have in the main been that way really since our last trophy,very depressing more so for the likes of us who remember when our motto was something the club if didn't always attain at least aspired to

They have that in them, Palace, the ability to prove their are merely lucky incompetents at board level. Witness their lack of prep for Europe last season - which cost them participation in the Europa League - and now the consideration of Fan Friendly Frank, a man who will do a good job taking them into a relegation battle.

You'd love to see it.

I’ll tell you something for free.

At the highest level of football, there are certain things you cannot fluke.

Glasner won the Europa League with Frankfurt, this was a time big teams use to drop from UCL into Europa, so he had to face teams like Barcelona on the way. Still, he won the Europa.

He came to Palace, with a small budget compared to the other English teams, he won the FA Cup, the first trophy in Palace’s history, he beat Man City to win it. You can’t fluke that, he’s a winner.

He qualified them to Europa by winning the FA Cup , but they dropped to Conference league because of the multi-club ownership saga with Textor. Despite the setback, he has just won an European trophy for a South London club.

In 2 years, he has changed a club’s history and won 3 trophies for them if we add the community shield. He did this while losing big players, lost his captain January, lost his best player to Arsenal in summer, lost Olise.

This guy is a winner.

My theory is, since Heysel, we have defined ourselves purely in relation to being the opposite of the other shower across the city. They are demanding, we are stoic. They are entitled, we are humble. They are successful, we are...not.

He makes no apology, in fact demands ambition too. Shared while back on here that I like that and think its something we desperately need as a club.

If I ran the club he'd be my pick.
