Succession Planning - Managerial Wishlist

Talks have broken down between Iraola and Milan. Palace still an option.
If we were a serious club looking to progress, we would be negotiating with the man.
We are not though and we’re going to stick with limp dithering Dave. Looking forward to another woeful display of football and a bottom half finish.
Good times.

No matter what TFG think about how Moyes has done, they should definitely be making an approach for the likes of Glasner or Iraola so we can kick on regardless. Moyes was only ever brought in for stability and was never a long term appointment as can be seen by how quickly it all went sour.
It's a slap in the face for fans that Moyes said he didn't want to be doing this more than short term, and now he's set for another contract.

He makes no apology, in fact demands ambition too. Shared while back on here that I like that and think its something we desperately need as a club.

If I ran the club he'd be my pick.
Yup, me too. One thing you always fear when hiring a manager is if the club could prove too big for them. That would worry me about Iraola, but not Glasner as he has successfully managed Eintracht Frankfurt.

Recent success stories include Villa replacing Gerrard with Emery and Palace replacing Hodgson with Glasner.
Pure footbaling business decisions.

The last time I was really emotionally attached to a manager was Howard Kendal.
All the rest to me are nothing more than expendable , the same goes for any players we have.
If the club has a chance to upgrade a playing position and the right player becomes available we would do it , same goes for the manager in my opinion.

Glasner would be my preferred of the two. Big game manager (which we have lacked) and would be able to handle the pressure better. Would need backing with players though which is the main concern with this club at the moment.

It annoys me that we ended up having to sack 2 decent managers in Silva and Lampard due to absolutely horrendous recruitment. No manager had a chance to be successful during that period because we didn't sign one decent goalscorer in about a 5 year period.

It set us back miles and now has created this unnecessary nervousness about changing manager when the problem was recruitment all along.
