Succession Planning - Managerial Wishlist

The obvious choice for Everton manager, in my book.

Track record, has managed clubs of our size, and demands more from owners.

A no-brainer.
The bloke went from completely losing my respect with his outburst of the club, a no way back situation with him and Parish and was heading out the door tarnished with a filthy stain. But somehow he kept the whole squad on his side, even after 'Gueye' going and the whole 'Mateta' saga.

He removed the 'Me' attitude and went back to what he's good at. That Awful situation he had built up (Where most Managers would have been shown the door) he somehow came out of it with another Trophy for the club.

I am waffling a bit here, but the fact he gained my respect back so quickly Shows alot.

Though Palace aren't my club and it's easy looking from the outside, Would we have accepted that situation or had him out the door.

we need a manager who is also a top class coach. using iraola as an example, for all his talented players like junior kroupi, semenyo (before he left) and alex scott, look at the way he improved bournemouth's average players that were already there like tavenier. we have a lot of dross that needs to go up a few levels if we are to be successful
I am struggling to think of the last pllayer Davey improved. I can think of more he ruined in the same time, though.

It annoys me that we ended up having to sack 2 decent managers in Silva and Lampard due to absolutely horrendous recruitment. No manager had a chance to be successful during that period because we didn't sign one decent goalscorer in about a 5 year period.

It set us back miles and now has created this unnecessary nervousness about changing manager when the problem was recruitment all along.
I can't agree with Lampard, I like the person but we were heading one way with his awful crab football.
happy for him now, but he was in to big over his head with us.

He makes no apology, in fact demands ambition too. Shared while back on here that I like that and think its something we desperately need as a club.

If I ran the club he'd be my pick.
100% this. Forget Iraola, he's won nothing. This fella is the real deal.

Talks have broken down between Iraola and Milan. Palace still an option.
If we were a serious club looking to progress, we would be negotiating with the man.
We are not though and we’re going to stick with limp dithering Dave. Looking forward to another woeful display of football and a bottom half finish.
Good times.
We definitely should be going for him, he won’t be available in November when dithering Dave gets sacked. Then we’ll end up with someone we don’t really want and the merry go round starts again. Iriola could be our long term plan. But not us we’ll show no ambition and go with what we’ve got, we’ll be starting our season with tarks and Keane at CB and JoB at Rb. As you said ‘good times’

The problem with our dross is they’re mentally weak and are more than happy coasting round the pitch, and the sad thing is we’ll be watching the majority of them next season too.

Bourenmouth to Palace would be an almost sideways move for Iraola, very strange. Plus, their (Palace) stock is currently the highest it has ever been, a bit of a poisoned chalice tbh.
Very true, saw a Palace fan interviewed on the news last night he said he was milking all this up,couldn’t believe it because in his words it’s never happening again.👍

Well this is a club that accepted Moyes sneaky meeting in the January at Alex Fergusons house without authorisation and yet gave him a guard of honour when he left 😤

Delivering trophies gives Glasner a bit more respect.

I certainly wouldn't be against it, the bloke would walk straight in with high expectations ( and hopefully Wharton with him )
We don't have to sell everyone around him which would be a positive in his eyes.

A powerful voice raising expectations is better than a powerful voice lowering expectations.

Absolute no brainer, would transform the club imho. Top coach. If TFG keep Moyes and don't throw their hat into the ring for Glasner then absolutely no doubt they've got zero ambition for club bar survival.
If we want our version of Emery then in my book this is the guy.

Things are moving NOW .. If we can muster the belief, the foresight and the courage, we have a really attractive offer to put before either Iraola or Glasner.

The Project appeal of the club, the fans, the history and the new stadium is there. If along with this TFG offer sound financial backing and vision, we absolutely must be pitching in and being part of these conversations.

It will be yet another awful end of the season marker if the club just sits on its hands and watches this all play out.
