Succession Planning - Managerial Wishlist

I agree with what you and @blulouie are saying. But the tone of his message wasnt one of supporting an under pressure manager, the tone of his mesaage was one of "he's got our backing because we're happy with the job he's doing".

It wasnt like a vote of confidence imo, it was a genuine "we're in great hands" article.

I'd be absolutely shocked if anyone inside of Everton are remotely aware of how angry and disillusioned the fan base is with this seasons finish and the thought of anither year of dire home performances and lack of squad rotation.
Spot on.

They're prepared to let the Glasner/Iraola ship sail to consolidate/stabilise.

I can see the logic in continuity next season after the trauma of previous years.

Don't necessarily agree with it, but can see why they're thinking that way but no extension pls.

How they square recruitment with manager in last year of his contact, I don't know.

Next season will be similar to this year imo.

I think Moshiri was an over excitable man without a clue how to run a football club. Maybe he did have ambition but keeping Kenwright in situ suggests he wasn't as ambitious as you're suggesting
Can only agree with all of what you say there apart from the Kenwright bit. I think Mosh may have seen him as the father of Everton and did not want to rock the boat.
Point is they spent big, as we all know now on garbage😐

Yeah I was thinking the same, so I fired off an email to Kinnear politely telling him what I thought about this season and Moyes. I suggest anyone who's angry and disillusioned does the same. At the very least they won't be in any doubt then!

I think they'll be a couple of red flags from the owners with how the season has gone, maybe have some ideas going forward. But they won't be looking to pull the trigger on Moyes as there's no disgruntlement with him or the owner or the fanbase. He's also got 1 year left.

I can't think of a club that just fired a manager when things were "ok". You do still have to have grounds for dismissal even in football.

But by the time of some pressure or questionable performances, the landscape of available managers will look a lot different.

However, there could easily be a DoF and a manger bust up over the summer.
