Succession Planning - Managerial Wishlist

The CEO has confirmed they're happy with Moyes and they don't want to be a part of the merry go round of managers this summer

Theres literally no point in getting wound up where Glasner or Ireola end up because it won't be at Everton.

Macca knows. Everton never do what they should do today.

Resistance is futile and we'll have our pick of managers when Davey decides to leave. At that time we'll have our pick from Dyche, Allardyce, Lampard, again. Ian Dowie or Alan Curbishley. So all hope isn't lost yet lads.

Andoni Iraola in advanced talks with Bayer Leverkusen as Everton content with David Moyes

It has been reported this afternoon that Iraola has now entered into advanced negotiations with the Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen.

There’s only one man who can truly make us great again…

You can (almost) always tell when a Managers time is up - a few things happen.

1) Obviously; you get a series of poor results and performances.
At the start of the season people when asked how we'll fare say ask me when the clocks go back or Halloween / after Bommy Night / 10 or 12 games and let's see...

Last 12 Results; L, W, W, L, W, D, L, L, D, D, L, L.
P12, 12Pts. pretty ordinary, though this season W.Ham went down on that form
Performances; It has to said they got worse as they went on.

When you look at the last 20 / From Jan, the points per game is better - but the trend is only heading one way.

2) The dreaded Chairman's 'Vote of Confidence' - 'Happily Dissatisfied'? well I'm not sure what that exactly means, it's all a bit 'Meh'.

3) A list of possible replacements, we've got that on an almost daily basis.

What we haven't had yet is...who will succeed 'xxxxxxx'? and you get 2 answers.

4a&b) Almost anybody & The Tea Lady.

My Conclusion; Short Term.
None of my 4 conditions have been fully ticked off...(unlike some of us) the first 3 are only halfway met and it hasn't got that bad that 4a&b were viable options.
Moyes is lucky there weren't more games left.

So, sadly, Moyes isn't going anywhere yet...and I'm not about to wish for a poor start (although he does have previous for them, I can remember a couple of times we've been on 3pts in October) just to get rid of him.

Hail Mary options;
A) Moyes has taken the 6 weeks paid gig because he knows he's on the way out.
B) Kinnear has Road to Damascus revelation and petitions TFG to act.

Nah, I don't think it's very likely either.

My Conclusion; Medium Term.
If You keep Moyes he will...eventually...build you a Moyes Team.

This season he failed to get at least 6th with basically a Dyche team and got 13th.
Eventually ( and who knows how long this eventually will be?) with his own team He'll fail to get 3rd and finish with his 7th-ish Trophy.

As Lyndon Lloyd said; Yesterday's Man for Stability Today

Seriously Iraola is waiting on Premier League opportunities before agreeing to go elsewhere. No better opportunities than Fulham or Palace at present who will both be without a manager soon. If Everton also became an option he'd jump at it.

I absolutely hate our club for its continuous ridiculous decisions, the latest being throwing its weight behind Moyes.

We have to be realistic here. We may have won more leagues than Chelsea and Tottenham put together and we may have a top 6 or 7 average attendance, but ultimately we haven't been successful during the Premier League years.

We're undoubtedly a big club, but what can we tangibly offer to a big name manager apart from our brilliant new home on the banks of the Royal Blue Mersey? They want big money to spend on players.

You have a proven winner in glasner or a positive young manager in Iraola actively looking for a new pl job, and we are sitting on yesterdays coward and saying we are happy with the situation?

I will never ever understand this club if we don’t do different when we have the opportunities.

It’s fine if no one was available, I could at a push get that not getting shut of Moyes is ok then, but to have these guys available and seeking a new job but we do nothing beggars belief.
