Succession Planning - Managerial Wishlist

Get Le Bris from Sunderland - he's already passed 2 'practical interviews' all he has to do is the in person bit...tell em what they want to hear, a bit of Corporate Speil - sorted
Oh and get whoever is finding him all those players as well

We have to be realistic here. We may have won more leagues than Chelsea and Tottenham put together and we may have a top 6 or 7 average attendance, but ultimately we haven't been successful during the Premier League years.

We're undoubtedly a big club, but what can we tangibly offer to a big name manager apart from our brilliant new home on the banks of the Royal Blue Mersey? They want big money to spend on players.
We offer them big money and spend big money on players.

Heck, we already do the first part of that equation. If a manager was prepared to manage Eintracht Frankfurt and Crystal Palace for a fraction of what we pay our managers, then let's open talks...

You have a proven winner in glasner or a positive young manager in Iraola actively looking for a new pl job, and we are sitting on yesterdays coward and saying we are happy with the situation?

I will never ever understand this club if we don’t do different when we have the opportunities.

It’s fine if no one was available, I could at a push get that not getting shut of Moyes is ok then, but to have these guys available and seeking a new job but we do nothing beggars belief.
Like, Iraola is literally waiting for a PL opportunity to present itself. If he's turned down Palace he's looking for a "bigger" club. Who fits that bill more than us ffs???

I don’t really buy that Sunderland season as sustainable. They were as lucky as we were to be high up and they managed to just barely have it not run out.

yeah, I think I'd actually make a concerted effort to scale back my interest in Everton if we go from Moyes to Howe.
Always a name that has been chucked around on here because he's a boyhood blue and seems like a 'good personality' whatever that means.

Vastly overrated manager imo. Similar to you if we got him in to replace Moyes I would be very disappointed.

I have no doubt that both Glasner and Iraola would come to us. They both like the Premier League and ideally want to stay there. Either would be a massive improvement over a mediocre egotist like Moyes.

Certainly if you looked at the expected points etc they were well flattered by the first half of the season. Ultimately you can only get lucky for so long. Still overall you have to say he's get a fairly impressive managerial career so far but not in the league of Glasner or Iraola.
