I hate feeling like I'm moaning constantly about Everton, but FFS they make it hard to be positive at times, they really do.

All three are turbo gash, but the least turbo gash of the three is #1. Not the "best", just the least gash.

But it's just a really poor replica of the current one. Why can't the idiots just swallow their stupid pride and revert to the former?

1. Its a crap version of last seasons and goes against everything that the club said in why the were changing it.
2. Probably the best (though 1 will win) but 18 and 78 looks stupid.
3. Awful - looks like a fake Pro Evo badge, may as well be call Merseyside Blue.

Like to know how much this agency was paid when people on here did better.

Hahahaha! Only everton could **** this up. Can someone please just bombard the clubb with pictures of tat circular one that someone designed?

That's because we had to vote for 3 important things. The reversed #1 isn't too bad, even with the name and 1878 looking totally out of place. Bit of a let down though. I've seen way better designs posted on this website

I know, but I voted Tower, Wreaths, Motto. I didn't vote for the name but obviously others did.

The thing is, I have no problem with a majority vote. I'll go along with what most blues say. My point is things are the way they are because of the way people voted.

Hardly anyone wanted amber on the badge, hence no amber.

The only thing that is giving me any hope is that these are initial mock-up designs and the 'proper' ones are being cleaned up and finalised now; especially on the first one, just don't make it look so crammed and cramped and i could accept it

Choices made by professionals because of the way FANS VOTED IN THE CONSULTATION SURVEY.

Most fans didn't want a circle.

They came up with three designs in a week. A week. They only drew one tower and one laurel, for goodness sake. Where's the variety?

This needed more effort - and more talented designers, evidently.

This is the big issue for me. Far too quick a turnaround to have even considered elements from fan designs imo.

So having had some time to mull over the designs and read the club's rationale, I think committing to the final vote is what's hamstrung the process.

When you're presenting 3 final options for any kind of survey, they have to be functionally identical - unlike the various very distinctive (and let's be honest, better) efforts that fans have come up with. That's why the font's the same, the laurels are the same, and every one includes that ridiculous Fisher Price "Everton" - which fans have agreed is important rather than clamouring for, presumably because someone somewhere has decided it's necessary to broadcast Everton to the world.

If there were one badge with an awful shield but the best tower, and another with beautiful wreaths but "ebepton" scrawled in Comic Sans, people would start wanting to mix and match. In an iterative process where you can go back to the same people once or twice a week that's great, but when you're polling 20k fans and need a final answer, leaving too many variables open just undermines the sense of consultation. If the winning design got messed about with to accommodate responses that fell beyond "that one, please", no one would end up happy and the whole thing would have been an exercise in the club shooting itself in the foot.

So yeah, we've got 3 options which are basically variations upon the same thing, but given the constraints - specifically, giving fans the casting vote - they've actually come up with something pretty good.

...

This.

Alan Myers not helping matters tweeting this:

WAsn't a big fan at first, but tbh it looks quite good to me there.

Knocked this up:

Looks fine to me.

Preferred this design on its own, but doesnt look so good on the shirt imo, but maybe thats just the way its been mocked up :o

The tower in that is the absolute daddy. It's based on the 1930s original drawing. Best tower ever.

This.

Do you know what I reckon it's about, honestly? Nike charge us per item to embroider. A badge with unconnected elements, like the 1878 and Everton on our old badge, costs more than a badge that's a single, connected whole.

Shirts cost £50 quid a pop, sure they can afford it!

After review, I would be okay with the first one. Why is the bottom of the shield pointy like that though??

Just noticed that now. Looks pretty bad, need to get rid of that bit, but aside from that it looks ok to me.

Why do they need to release badge designs in SEPTEMBER?! Far too early for all that, take your ****ing time, plus, give us more ****ing choices. KOFF Everton, you've ruined my weekend.
