MOYES'S DISGUST

“I knew in myself I was going to retire, so I’m thinking If he signed a contract it would be more difficult for us.

“I said to him you’ve had ten years there that’s long enough, you’ll get a bigger club.

“I kept phoning him to make sure he wasn’t going to sign a new contract.

“We had to wait till the league was decided, once the league was decided I got David over to the house and I think he thought we were going to talk about his contract again, but I said look I want you to take over.”

I suppose those quotes fit in with the "4 weeks before the end of the season" line from Moyes. United did finish 11 points clear so would have known 3-4 weeks before the end that the title was in the bag.

However, Moyes is a smart man, when Ferguson rings you often telling you not to sign a contract at Everton, you'd be utterly daft not to read between the lines. He knew he was going to United well before the "4 weeks" that he speaks of.

...the key line came before that commentary of Ferguson's: “[Moyes] phoned me around February for some advice about his contract, they were pushing him to sign a new contract," Sir Alex says. "I said to him, 'do not sign a new contract'.

Moyes was just getting clarification Ferguson would be going and he'd be his successor.

Anyone believing the official version of events are pretty naive.

I have admiration for Moyes. Done well at Everton considering what resource he had. The British press slate anyone they can. I hope he does well at United, but I also hope that Martinez does better!

COYB

I did too, till he slated our club when he left, still dislike the amount of rewriting of his time here that has gone on, but lost my admiration of the man months ago. I'll still defend the facts of what he did because he did well, but can't defend the man as person because most of the accusations are all true.
Well except the knowing about leaving us...
He knew he was going to be United manager in Jan, just not when he'd take over, neither managers have said anything different. Can't buy into the lies and fume over that one.
He was very good for us as an Everton manager, but a horrible, snidey, derisory little ***er as soon as he wasn't.

If he's a born again Christian, why is he describing Everton's traveling support as a '****ing disgrace'?

Was it his day off as a Christian?

No, mate, you miss the point. I could accept him coming back for players. I accept his job now is Man Ure, not EFC. But, he put the Fellaini buy-out clause in the contract, yet insulted us with an arrogant bid for Felli and Baines. To add insult to injury, he then used the press to try to lure the players into making transfer requests, which is exactly what so angered the egotistical hypocrite when Mark Hughes did it for Lescott.

Then he comes out with patronising comments about Roberto needing to learn about how Everton 'works' along with guff about holding back players' careers, FFS. (So, Mr Moyes, if Everton is such a disaster for a career, why did you waste 11 years of yours as our best-paid employee...?!) It also became plain that he and SAF had agreed their cosy little hand-pver way before Moyes previously led us to believe. (A reason why our season fizzled out somewhat last year?) But, we gave him a rousing farewell at Goodison.

But, he tarnished the legacy, didn't he? He crapped on the goodwill of even fervent admirers. Even the classless, half-wit red-top journos sussed that. Finally, in the run-up to Wednesday's game, he made further small-minded remarks about Everton and Roberto, even taking credit for how we're doing this season. Sorry, Moyes has shown himself up here. I'm sure some of it is the pressure getting to him, but the incorrigible control freak needs to put his ego back in his arse pocket.... especially now Roberto's boys handed him his arse on a plate. 'koff Gollum. Get over yourself....we have. COYB!!!!

100 per cent correct, The collusion with SAF, and the meetings with SAF and Giggs. Most clubs would have sued their balls off for that , which was in simple terms 'tapping up' by SAF or fraud on the part of Moyes. In some ways it is disappointing that we didn't sue, but accepted a half baked apology(an admission of guilt!), but it could also be said(hold your horses, some of you) that Bill Kenwright acted with complete dignity over the whole matter. Other peoples dirty linen...we're above washing it for them. If it were up to me, I'd ban Moyes for life from GP. Seriously.

Ezekiel 25:17."The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee."

Ill always maintain he did a great job for us and be great full! Regardless of how unpopular that is.

But as he now has no association with us, I don't really care, defo been snidely do us since he left!

"I'll see where we are after Christmas before I sign a new deal" - Moyes, Nov 2012

"I'll see where we are in March before signing a new deal" - Moyes, Jan 2013

"I'll see where we are at the end of the season before signing a new deal" - Moyes, March 2013

"I only knew about the Utd job 4 weeks before I took it" - Moyes, said several times, most recently 2 days ago.

"I met David at my house at Christmas 2012 and told him 'You're my successor, you're the next Man Utd manager" - Alex Ferguson in his book.

Lies, lies, lies.

Then the ridiculous bids, the 'Everton shouldn't be holding back the careers of Fellaini & Baines' quote, the 'I know how Everton works'; 'I always told the players they didn't need a manager'; 'I signed most of the players', 'He's doing a good job carrying it on...' quotes.

Pretty much all of that, Bally.

The media fails to realise, he wasn't just booed because he left and because he made **** bids. It's his whole demeanour and the lies he told (and still tells), and the fact he left without us getting any compensation for him, from one of the richest clubs in world football.

He said all of that? Hell he is kind of full of himself...

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, because I'm the biggest son of a bitch in the valley.

David Moyes seems rather upset he didn't get the arm around the shoulder welcome from the travelling Evertonians on Wednesday.
When did your feelings change towards him and what angered you after he spent such a long time with us?
It will be interesting to hear your views.

Irritated by his comments.

It was Fergies autobiography and him appearing on North West tonight and Channel 4 news bragging about what he and Moyes did.

The particular comment about moving to better careers was unacceptable.
