Moyes still looking to do some business

I doubt any of them would be considered "creative" in the way that Dutch meant really.

I think he means a player such as Arteta, deep lying playmaker kinda player, none of the players in the squad are really that.

biglia would be a great signing and within our budget..

I personally see Gibson as the deep lying playmaker. If you watch what he does for us and what Arteta does for Arsenal they are very, very similar. Arteta looks a bit classier doing it but Gibbo gets more tackles in.

If Fellaini is staying behind the striker we could do worse that get an all out destroyer like De Jong.

We should never have ended this transfer window looking for a CM. Of all the areas on the park we needed to improve on that was NOT one of them. You have to ask what sort of transfer window it is when at the end of it people are saying we're short there.

i agree with this, and i also think Tubey is right. I think the money will just disappear

Think we should get 4 more players . 2 perm and 2 loans . I would sell Coleman and vic thought for niang then get 3 players for 2m each then 2 loans . Wouldn't mind reo coaker hes on a free and would bea good squad player

We may be far from short of CM's, due to having the likes Barkley and Junior waiting for the chances, but we really don't have a deep lying playmaker - and haven't since losing Arteta.

In relation to other areas we were (and still are, imo) relatively well off there. Those other areas, like a natural LB replacement for Baines (who's not always going to live a charmed life as far as injuries go), should be priorities.

I can easily see Moyes complaining in the coming months when he has to shuffle around and put Distin over on the left - bending the whole defence out of shape.

Very true, no idea who we'd bring in though, as Moyes wouldn't want to spend too much on a player that could potentially only play a few matches a season while Baines is here, while the player being good enough to replace Baines when needed and not minding that he may not play much. It's a dilemma, although Moyes must see that it has to be dealt with so hopefully he has some targets in mind.

I think we'll see one more major arrival - it might be the French lad - if not it might be a smart buy that no-one is expecting. Just a feeling!

Possibly a season long loan for someone fairly good as well.

For anyone worrying about that interview there was no way ever in the history of the whole wide world as we know that moyes was going to comfirm he was after a few players or that he had targets in mind, he is not Harry Redknapp, he would quite happily have us and the media as the complete last to know, if he had his way the first we would hear of any deal is when it was on the OS.

Just watched that pre match conference on EFC-TV the biggest worry for me is that he wouldnt dismiss out of hand the Owen story, maybe he is trying do double and triple bluff us and send us away from an potential scent but I can understand why he couldn't just said we are not in for him, its not like he would be offending any club who currently imploys the little money grabbing rat.

Where are people getting this idea that we wont spend the rest of the Rodwell money? He says he is hoping to get more in, in other words, he is working on a few things. He cant be 100% they will come off and so says he says if we dont get them we will go with what we have, i think thats fair enough. Numerous people saying Donovan will be arriving at some stage, november or january, maybe some of the money is being kept for that........relax.

If we don't spend the rest of this money I think it would be a disgrace. We're so close (again) to cracking into that top 4 with many of the teams around us who our spect to be battling for it in transition periods. It simply cannot go missing.
I expect the usual line "We tried hard up until the last hour but there wasn't enough time"

This would be my view certainly, can't imagine the money will get buried if we want Moyes to sign a new contract either.

If we do get two new faces, even if one is nothing more than a squad player (meaning the other is a decent signing pushing for a starting place) I will feel confident of a top six definitely.
