Moyes still looking to do some business

so basically no else is coming in. thats what he means by saying that. funny seen as tho last week he wanted at least two
Slap on the wrist by Bill, promise of a new contract, Moyes is happy to "go with what we've got".

Make no mistake about it, even with a great start to the season if it turns out to be the case, two or three injuries could seriously derail our ambitions this season. Is Moyes happy to take the risk, knowing that almost every season without fail we have a injury-ravaged month or two?

We've heard him say this before in past summer transfer windows.

Going on the past I think we will be lucky to get a last minute loan or two at best.

The spare £6m will be going to cover our yearly overspend of £5m.

You know what will happen though if we dont get more bodies in, we will be going along nicely then get a few injuries and then our season will fall apart.

I think it is essential that we get at least 2 more in, and 2 first teamers at that not just average joes to make up the numbers.

No need to diss Moyes like that imo.

He's had to "go with what he's got" in previous seasons as he's had nothing to spend.

This window he has & he's definitely trying to spend it, give the bloke a break.

If it take injuries for Moyes to play Ross, Junior, Duffy etc then bring on injuries like.

Hes clearly got players on the sniff.

The "We go with what we got" comment is to keep the prices down, so people dont shaft us.

I think we will see another 2, fees or loans, still think we will see at least 1 other leave tho.

I don't buy that, not when he comes out with all of his "I make the decisions around here" rubbish.

He should have had clear targets in mind this summer and got them in by now. We all knew one of our 10-15m players was going to be sold.

Don't get me wrong, I am made up with Pienaar, Naismith and Mirallas, but we need more. We've sold three players too, don't forget. At least two more are needed for a competitive squad.

Ridiculous thing to say. "Bring on injuries". Pipe down. Our first team players are undoubtedly better equipped than young Ross & co.

Well obviously that's why they're the first team. But the fact we have young kids ready to come in if there's injuries is great. I'd rather have to rely on them then an old pro like reo-coker or owen we've bought in as cover.

I'm happy with the squad we have now, to be honest. Whats the point in bringing in a body for the bench McFadden style when we have kids crying our for more games?

Yes, but as I said in "My Squad" thread, its well covered in most places, all postions are covered, but with the nature of the squad, with interlinking postions, it is a touch light overall and could do with some minor bulking.

I mean its all good, but we get 3-4 injuries in key postions, it could suffer.

He's openly said he wants / needs more bodies, but the transfer market isn't 'black & white' mate, the window system ensures that it's chaotic & his 'targets' will no doubt have changed through the window, as certain doors close & other situations develop.

I have no doubt he'll be doing his utmost to bring in the best he can possibly get with his budget. Put it this way, I'll be absolutely amazed if we don't bring in another couple of heads in the next week.

I'm not over optimistic we will be getting anyone else in judging by that interview. The 2 players I think he wants niang and Donovan are unlikely to come here in this transfer window.

Anyone else ever notice we always seem to get bad injuries a wekk after the deadline passes.

That said im well board of transfers now, just heard Adam Johnson is of to Sunderland - would have been boss, though as ive said hes a massive Sunderland fan.

Really think we need 2-3 more players. A Creative CM/AM, another winger and an understudy to Jelavic. For the rest, I'm all for bringing the youth through, but they should be brought in when the time is right for it, not because we're desperate for players.

I'd be happy if we stick with what we have.

Even happier with more in and no more outs.

We've already got more in than I ever thought we would!!!

I think he supports Newcastle mate.

Different quotes from the lad, hes said in the past his whole family is Sunderland, but ive read hes a Tooner.

And regardless, we where never even in for the lad, im sure Moyes had a word, but as soon as 10m+ fee 100k a wages got mentioned, he was off like a shot.
