Moyes still looking to do some business

Hes clearly got players on the sniff.

The "We go with what we got" comment is to keep the prices down, so people dont shaft us.

I think we will see another 2, fees or loans, still think we will see at least 1 other leave tho.

is how i see it as well. he can't exactly say "i'm not very happy with my squad" either, would dampen morale

I don't buy that, not when he comes out with all of his "I make the decisions around here" rubbish.

He should have had clear targets in mind this summer and got them in by now. We all knew one of our 10-15m players was going to be sold.

Don't get me wrong, I am made up with Pienaar, Naismith and Mirallas, but we need more. We've sold three players too, don't forget. At least two more are needed for a competitive squad.

not true, we didn't sell rodwell to ease the bank, we sold him because we got a good offer in our mind for a squad player. money which could be used (and has already) to strengthen our team. this is why the majority of the rodwell money will be invested into the squad, here's hoping it is spent on the right players

Hmm. Moyes saying he wants more, Ferguson declaring the end of his spending...

Wonder who is telling porkies.

Really think we need 2-3 more players. A Creative CM/AM, another winger and an understudy to Jelavic. For the rest, I'm all for bringing the youth through, but they should be brought in when the time is right for it, not because we're desperate for players.

naismith, mirallas, pienaar, fellaini and barkley could all play there, we have more important positions to fill imo

I reckon there'll be one on transfer deadline day. Probably a striker if Victor is sold. I'd like to think if we sold Victor we'd still have some Rodwell money left over and could go for a big name but meh. The squad's pretty decent as it stands.

Not going to happen but I'd like Donovan. Move Felli into midfield and play Kev behind the striker. Not even arsed about Donovan's age. Two good years out of him with guaranteed results is worth a few million even without sell-on value. I think the extra winger would mean Naismith would be the back up striker which is fine by me. He's very highly rated in Scotland, higher so than Jelavic, so I'm happy for him to be back-up to the two forward positions.

I think he supports Newcastle mate.

Different quotes from the lad, hes said in the past his whole family is Sunderland, but ive read hes a Tooner.

And regardless, we where never even in for the lad, im sure Moyes had a word, but as soon as 10m+ fee 100k a wages got mentioned, he was off like a shot.

Just chatting to a lad who has close ties with Sunderland mate, hes a massive Mackem.

I doubt any of them would be considered "creative" in the way that Dutch meant really.

I think he means a player such as Arteta, deep lying playmaker kinda player, none of the players in the squad are really that.

Fair play to him then.

The lads a player, Sunderland done good there.

O'Neills like a sand boy apparently, hes going around the club saying this whats happenes when your paitent, tbf they are getting their top targets in Fletcher, Johnson and Cuellar. There hoping to do another big striker as well.

Mirallas preferred position is as a second striker, he himself has said that. Thought that Moyes was looking for a loan period regarding Barkley to gain some experience. Pienaar works superb with Baines on the left, be a shame to disturn that and Naismith is prone to injury as his past suggest. Agree on Fellaini, but I'm still not sure where Moyes wants him to play. If he sees him playing in an advanced role, we need a new creative deeplying playmaker imo to play alongside Gibson. If he wants Fellaini to play alongside Gibson, I'd love to see a new AM brought in. Miind you, I never seen that Junior play.

He's not mate, he's the rarest of breeds, he's from Sunderland, but went through Boro's academy but actually supports the Toon. Go figure.

(that's from a Boro fan btw)
