Fergie wants Moyes at United

I don't want to see DM go anywhere very soon to be honest. I just do not see any suitable replacements if he did leave all of a sudden.
He gets the best out of what we have.

I saw one thread saying they would have fat sam. I choaked on my sandwich!
Actually, it may have been a toasted tea-cake.

I forget. Sven is looking for a job.

I think unless there is investment mate, we'l have another season or two untill hes poached, i certianly dont think he'l sign another contract - Glass ceiling and all that. Massive David Moyes fan so im praying for intervention.

If he were to go personaly id like to see a Irvine/Royle dream ticket.

I do agree mate. However, I think IF we ever got major investment, we would be in a City situation and any new owners might want a HIGH PROFILE manager, not DM.
We would never know if DM could take us on with serious money. I do think Davey has done a brilliant job for us and even though some of his decisions infuriate me, I will always back our manager :D

In my mind ,unless Everton trailblaze the Europa league next season (if we qualify) and set european football on fire (and even then it would be a surprise) - Moysies C.V hasn't the experience to satisfy a club that is a Champions league regular and demands success in it year in year out.

I personaly think he could succeed with money, i like the look of some of the highr profile players hes targeted in the last couple of seasons, as a manager he has matured a lot in the three years. i think he learned a lot from the summer after we qualified for the CL.

He will i think get the oppurtunity to prove himself with a few pound, just hope its at Everton.

Well thats the headline anyway with no real substance to the article, i think Fergie just likes Moyes:

DAVID MOYES is Alex Ferguson’s choice to succeed him as Manchester United boss.

Fergie, 67, is likely to step down after next season. He said: “David hasn’t got the credit he deserves.

"When you take everything into consideration, he’s done an incredible job at Everton.

“He has not had the resources of other clubs but got all his younger players on long contracts and built around them with the likes of Phil Jagielka, Tim Cahill and Joleon Lescott.

“The signings he has made have been terrific and it means he has continuity for years.”

Moyes, a Glaswegian like Fergie, has done a remarkable job at Everton since replacing Walter Smith in March 2002.

The Toffees have finished in the top six in three of the last four seasons and was voted by fellow bosses as Manager of the Year in 2003 and 2005.

Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho and Aston Villa’s Martin O’Neill have been heavily linked with filling the United hotseat.

I like Moyes and he's done and is doing wonders at Everton but personally I think he's going to end up there one day. I hope not as much as any Evertonian cos he's been brill for us. I work with few Manure fans and all of them have said in the past that when Fergie goes they'd love to see Moyes there. Seems to be a common thought amongst them. I dont want to see him leave but if and when he does I'd rather he went to Celtic or took the Scotland job.

More of SAF's brilliant mind games - he does this to every manager before a big game - he always builds the opposition up - bet Moyesy had a good laugh at this :D

If Moyes went I reckon we'd get Steve Bruce, unless a really big name European like Lippi made it apparent that he'd take the job, but I doubt that would happen without big investment.

Would people be happy for Moyes to remain here beyond his current contract if we still haven't won anything under him? As paradoxical as it sounds I think I actually would.
