Maybe we should let Moyes go to OT as an undercover agent, to undermine them from within. He can buy back Kieran Richardson from the Black Cats, and sell Ronaldo to us for two chip butties and a packet of crisps.

The point about how he would be with money to spend is a very good one. Managers need and possess many different skills to various levels. One mans wheeler dealer (say Harry Redknapp) might be great where its needed but what would be the point at say Darlington, where you would need people to walk through brick walls for you twice a week for fourpence. (Sir Stevie) Coppell is a great example. If we (Palace) had held firm in extra time for just seven minutes more in the FA Cup Final of 1990 Ferguson would have gone and in all probability Coppell would have been offerred the job. It would have ended in tears. Coppell (rather like Moyes) is fantastic at picking players who can be improved and knowing, with each one, how to do it. When he sold Ian Wright and bought Marco Gabiadini to replace him we went round to Selhurst and hid the keys to the cash box. Coppell-Cash / Oil-Water. I just feel that it might be the same with Moyes. One last point. Someone suggested Bruce. Believe me, you would prefer to amputate your own testicles using a rusty soup can lid than have him anywhere near Goodison unless he was in a tumbrell on the way to his own public execution in Stanley Park.
