Ian Dale is rancid.

Didn't say he wasn't.

Which just shows how dreadful the rest of them are.

Thornberry came across as rude, arrogant and - frankly - completely out of depth. She also completely contradicted her own stance multiple times.

The cabinet minister was hapless. The Lib Dem boring, same for the Brexit Party guy. The SNP panelist rude and arrogant. A bunch of bigged up children running the country.

I've heard a lot of Leave MPs arguing that we need to 'let the people decide' in their speeches backing an election in the last few days. If I was in the Commons I'd politely inform them that the people decided the make up of the Commons in 2017. Are they suggesting that public opinion might have changed in 2 years? And if so, might it not have changed over Brexit in 3?

They don't want a no deal but there were absolutely no signs they were changing the deal no matter what spin was coming out of No 10.

The EU have a specific way of negotiating, they gave the remit to Barnier and his team, whatever he negotiates is what the 27 have agreed to go with.

Barnier is hardly likely to undermine his position by hinting at concessions, the deal is how it stands at the moment, BJ says the backstop is the major sticking point and all the noises from the EU are "give us a credible alternative" and unfortunately there isn't one.
Barrier can’t be seen to be throwing Ireland under the bus by renegotiating the backstop
Other countries in the EU would not trust him in the future to safeguard their interests

I'm curious do you use a phone with no sim card for browsing the web? Or did you remove your sim card before taking the screenshot so people would see your carrier?

I am always interested in techniques people use for privacy etc.. just wondered is all not malice or disrespect intended.

all good, steve. i use an Android as portable internet and an old-school phone for calls/sms.

Huge correlation between poverty and voting leave.

I haven't had chance to read this yet but I'd imagine there would be three distinct subsections of the leave voter:
  1. The poorest people in society that think they have nothing to risk by leaving the EU.
  2. The retirees who haven't got to find work in a stuttering economy and they would like the country to return to the 1950's when they were young and carefree, bomb damage et all.
  3. The very rich that will see maximum return from other people's misery. Right now they are freeing up cash to plonk it all on shares once they hit rock bottom. At this point the same people who voted leave will suddenly champion a return to the EU so previously bought shares skyrocket up.
There is of course a 4th, you know what it is, but if I say it we'll start the perpetual arguments about not all leave voters are but everyone who is did vote to leave that not many can understand.
