agree on both your points: it was a fine question to ask but was delivered in a provocative manner. Mogg's mistake was going on the defensive when he should've just stuck to the actual answer.
I think the issue he clearly has, is that the government announced last year they would be flying in medicines; medicines are being given the highest priority of importance in the event of No Deal which has been the case since the priorities were established and the No Deal Brexit' planning began in earnest in January. However, the Yellowhammer reports and preparedness assessments which aren't being officially released show that medicines shortages are still a concern, despite these mitigations.

It’s pretty simple mate, to be honest it’s getting boring repeating it.

I can only assume Pete thinks that one of us is Corbyn in disguise, and he's trying to get make us so desperate to enforce our machismo (Corbyn and machismo in the same sentence... settle down girls) that we break down and ring Johnson right now to agree to the election that he doesn't want.

Difficult to know without it being released, we only have the sayso of anonymous Whitehall sources that there are potential issues.

I deffo advocate more transparency, Mogg should release a detailed statement describing how exactly any potential shortfalls will be handled. In these high-strung times, more detail is required.

For 800 years it only worked one way
They say History is written by the victor.
Do you really want the truth or are you happy with the British side of things
Personally, when it comes to Ireland, it almost makes me ashamed to be English. I know it's the politicians and not the general public but it's shameful the way the Irish have been treated. You can argue about the IRA as much as you like but even a faithful dog will eventually bite you if you treat it so appallingly.

From my own experience I'm nervous because I've been asked to provide impact assessments to government on behalf of commissioners and providers in the NHS which are entirely speculative as a huge amount is dependent upon Government intervention and not local/regional preparedness activities.

Almost everyone is sticking a finger in the air and returning something that says 'yes we can manage this provided the government has done/will do what it says it will'. Now ordinarily, I'd be fine with that, because that's how assurance works in practice, but the leaked documents and information/intervention from ministers contradicts the official messages which are being circulated.

One such example is being told that the government has secured pathways and guarantee medicines will arrive as they have done previously, then being informed that the mechanism for this is Seaborne Freight.

Comedy should always punch up. I have no idea what you were trying to say with your post but there are several levels it fails to work on. Feel free to feel bad about what you've tried to do here tonight.

so you're one of these punch-up advocates we were talking about in the Chappelle thread lol you're saying Ireland should consider themselves as being ranked below UK...that's not cool. What is up/down is in the eye of the beholder. Ireland ranks pretty high up there in my book.

anyway, in this case i wasn't even punching, i was celebrating how much Ireland has actually done for the UK. Much like the Romans in this famous sketch.

What have the irish ever done for us?

...Guinness?

oh all right, but what else?

...Father Ted?

etc...

interesting post, good to get a little insider perspective...let us know how this develops.

That BBCQT.

The only person from the panel to come out with any dignity is Ian Dale.

Thornberry is horrible and just showed Labour are scared, even if Corbyn isn't, of a general election.

Also said she'd campaign against a deal Labour would make with the EU if they got in.

Absolutely mental.
