The media you mean.

Oh come on mate.

I'm sick of my Dad telling me the media are all against BJ and then my left-wing mates saying the media are all conspiring against Corbyn and remain etc.

It's untrue.

We have two of the biggest, most impartial broadcasters in the world in the form of BBC and Sky.

Forget the Merdoch rhetoric. They report the news. They have people on from both sides and it is covered equally.

You have left-wing print, and right-wing print. They each have their audiences. They each generally have the same amount of reach. Most people are smack bang in the middle.

So no, the media aren't to blame.

I understand your frustration but language like all MPs are scum really must be tempered.

Like in any walk of life the majority are decent people doing their best.

Talk of scum, traitors etc. invites violence and intimidation in to our system. We have already had one MP murdered, and many others threatened with such.

I'm sorry but that's not true. They are all hungry for power and I would not trust any of them.

I'd be amazed if Farage did a deal. What would be the point? How could he stand candidates down when the Tory's position is to negotiate a deal still?
We are talking Johnson and Farage here davek, mate normal rules dont apply.
Two thing they both like is limelight and power , Farage given a role at the table and sell it as a leave alliance/people agaist the establishment/parliment / commies under the bed ect.
Farage say he is doing it in the national intrest not his party intrests .
Plenty will go for it.

Of course, but simultaneously they have been tasked with a job for three years and haven't done it.

I tend to blame the Tories for this.

They had a majority which they threw away.

They then negotiated a deal without working with the opposition parties to ensure it could get passed.

As the party of Government this mess mostly lies at their door.

The BBC impartial? Jesus

I think you forget the ground Corbyn made up in the last GE and how he was received then...I dont know why, it was only 2 years ago!

No I don't! I voted for him. He had real momentum. He had good policies. And he was sticking by his views - which included getting out of the EU!

If you can't see he's lost a huge chunk of that momentum in the past two years Dave then I despair.

I was arguing for him two years ago, even in 2018. He's flip flopped and flapped and done f all since then. He's a wet wipe and I honestly can't say I feel we'd be better off with him in charge now, given the situation we are now in.

I honestly think Boris's approach was working, there was signs the EU would have to accept making concessions because they really don't want a no deal.

That's all going to get reversed now and the EU are going to end up in the strongest position they could ever wish for if that vote goes through tomorrow outlawing a no deal.

You only think that because it is what the media have been saying ever since he became leader. The EU - Merkel, Macron, the Commission, everyone - have said there have been no substantive proposals from the UK (even after Merkel gave him 30 days), no substantive negotiations, and that leaked memo in the Telegraph said even what negotiations had taken place were a sham. The plan - if you believe them - was for Boris to go to the EU summit on the 17th and try to get a deal there, to be negotiated in fourteen days. Fourteen days is not generally a sufficient time for deals between countries to be negotiated.

The reality is that the Cabinet knows it won't get a deal, so will go out with no deal. That is why the cabinet is full of people who have repeatedly proposed no deal, people who would financially benefit from no deal, who have tried to eliminate almost all Parliamentary time before the 31st so that no deal cannot be stopped.

I don't think Johnson would necessarily get the majority he needs to get an election. I was reading this morning that once a vote for an election has been passed in parliament it is up to the Prime Minister to then decide on the date of said election. There would be nothing to stop Johnson from announcing a date after October 31st thereby allowing us to be out of the EU with no deal before it took place. There were suggestions that even if he indicated a date prior to the vote there was no trust from some that he would not then choose a later date once the vote had passed. The best case for the anti - No Deal parties may be an election after 31st October anyway, as this would damage Johnson's credibility and have the Brexit party fully in play and in revenge mode.

Doesn't this all just press it back?

Why are they so adamant on this s***show having to carry on longer?

I'm sick of it. Just get out or stay in. Past caring. The sky isn't gonna fall in either way.

The politicans don't deserve a say. They've had three years.

But it will. This is a huge turning point for the country and what it's to become. You may be past caring, but it still matters so I'm glad plenty of people do still care and put effort in
