So here's where I sit with Moyes...I really didn't want him in but once in was open minded and was happy to be proved wrong. Full season in place just finished and I answered a poll a couple of months ago where I said to keep him. I was on the fence but felt that he had done enough to be giving the start of the next season. The past couple of months have put me firmly back to where I was when he was being linked to come in.
That might sound like fickle football fan, but its not even the results so much recently but the shocking and lazy tactics. Putting in O'Brien constantly despite him getting hammered each game by fast wingers, the laziness of leaving Ndiaye in and on despite him being ineffective for awhile now. I could go on but lets just thank him for the job he's done and move on for everyone's sake.
Thank him for what ? One point more than last season ,the promise of European football down the can ,smirking at questions he doesn't want to answer ,looking down on the fans now ,thinking he is bigger than the club ? Kick the dinosaur as far as a size 10 can ,please . Thanks never ,a dozen managers in our league would get much more from the players .
They have fallen of a cliff because they know he is hopeless .

This bares no truth in reality.

Last summer our departures had an average age of 30 years old. The club cleared out massive amounts of older players, including Young (40), Begovic (38), Doucoure (32), and a couple 28 year olds like DCL, Maupay, and Holgate.

The our arrivals had an average age of 23. The profile completely shifted toward the future, bringing in teenagers like Dibling and Aznou (19), alongside young talent like Barry (22), Rohl (23) and Carlos Alcaraz (22).
How many minutes did those players get last season
I'd say Grealish got more than them all combined (Barry excepted) and he missed half a season
I like Grealish and hope he stays but it shows Moyes mindset.
He moved our best LW and best attacking threat out of his preferred position to accommodate Grealish,

We need to shift the manager out now and find a replacement who is willing to give these youngsters a chance of playing.

We don't know enough about 'our squad' because we didn't really see them play much, we'll probably never know.
He's probably pissed off some of our ambitious players, there'll be a danger of losing some, but it's his comments recently, particularly yesterday, but also about Garner's England exclusion and questions about Dibling, Aznou etc that show an arrogance and lack of humility he didn't have V 1.0.
His first stint he knew there were 'bigger' jobs out there which is why he twerked for Sir Alex. These days, like Allardyce, Dyche and Benitez (spits), he won't get a bigger job, so he's cocky, same as they were. He thinks he's above all this/us.
There are options right now that we can't wait on.
For me, Moyes out, go for Ireola, or Glasner. Change the footballing policy, show some ambition.
This isn't ingratitude, it's pragmatism, the game changes very quickly.
Purely from a financial aspect I would go for Iraola
Glasner would need at least 2 CB,2 wing backs a midfielder and a striker immediately to make his system work.
Iraola would need the same as Glasner over time but would need less immediately

Ok I'll bite. Team we could have by the start of next season:
Pickford
New fast overlapping right back
O'Brien
Branthwaite
New fast overlapping left back
Armstrong
Rohl
KDH
N'diaye
New fast centre forward
New fast right sided forward

Subs:
Travers
Mykolenko
Tarkowski
Gueye
Dibling
Alcaraz
Beto

Sell Keane, Patterson, Barry, McNeill

That's 4 new signings needed to play how he would want to, hardly major surgery.
Not a bad team, not many game changers on the bench - still (mis)managed by Moyes so in real terms not much will change

No Garner

True but still 90%.

Questions

1. Is this site representative of Evertonians ?
2. Do TFG give a toss?
It's reasonably representative in that it tells you the way the wind is blowing. However, for a wider perspective, it's also worth seeing what other forums think. Perhaps the most Moyes-friendly, conservative Everton meeting place is The People's Forum, a place that has steadfastly adored Moyes for over 20 years. Even his most ardent admirers there are beaten dockets. They've effectively given up. He's definitely in trouble with the fanbase.

Of course, a significant portion of those now coming over to the dark side - which, of course, is the correct side in all of this - will vacillate again once Moyes survives the next few weeks. They'll regather their forces and defend him when he brings a blue home in John Stones ("had a great World Cup") and "valuable experience" in "top World Cup-performer" Tomas Soucek.

This is headed for a November conclusion. Moyes sacked, Moyesettes routed, a wasted summer budget, and Seamus Coleman in the door to manage an expensive old-boys's club headed for the Championship.
