I think it’s hard - he has to toe the line between maintaining a relationship with the people he’s relying on for quotes to do his job - and asking questions that the readership want to know the answers to. I like his contributions on the royal blue podcast.
I don’t think he’s as manipulated as prentice was by kenwright.
If he is going, which I hope he is, wouldn’t he have gone by now? The season is over, we need to start planning for next and sure that would involve recruiting a new manager first and then new players. There is absolutely no reason to wait and the fact it hasnt happened yet perhaps tells us it wont.

Doesn’t mean people can’t vent on here about wanting him gone though, defo makes me feel a bit better!

It seems to be a thin barrier as to what can be asked and cannot be asked and to me the whole thing is pointless because of being compromised .
The man was asked constantly on his social feeds as to why he wouldn’t name the former chairman in an any sense of accountability during the last year of their custodianship and he refused to answer. Only time he ever fully acknowledged his presence was when he passed away.
What’s the point of their coverage if they have to tip toe around issues constantly. You only have to have look at his colleague and the stuff he writes, it’s filler just to be seen fi be doing something. Pointless except for their wages every month.
No manager will ever give anything away in a press conference
Most of the times they have to present their questions beforehand and can only stick to certain topics

Moyes has gone to night school to learn how to project himself on the wireless ( radio , sorry) for the World Cup, don’t know why he is bothering because anything he contributes will not be worth listening to when it’s about football and tactics!

It’s more than just press conferences, it’s the whole coverage. It’s pointless because they are compromised. At the very least there seems or seemed to be more of a sense of standards in their Liverpool coverage than Everton.
One thing I will say about Joe is he comes across more of a decent fella than some of the others.
I voted out even though I’ve always been a big Moyes fan and appreciate the stability he’s brought back to the club when we really needed it.
The biggest thing for me is we haven’t taken a step forward this season in any tangible way. Finishing on basically the same points again could have been acceptable if we’d been developing young talent and building a team for the future but he hasn’t done that at all. Instead he’s tried to stick to the players he trusts to get us into Europe and he’s failed miserably and looked totally out of ideas on the tactical front. We’re now going into a summer where we’ll really struggle to attract top talent as in Moyes’ own words last summer the big players want European football and now even the young emerging talent will think twice about joining us as they’re unlikely to get games and develop here. Feels like a bit of a mess and a complete waste of a season and the momentum we could have been building with the new owners, stadium etc.

Chris Beesley on Radio Merseyside just said this decision by Liverpool to sack Slot shows just how impressive of a Job that Moyes has done and proves he was the best manager on Merseyside last season.
