This is hard because i like him and want stability after years of chaos … but the last few months have been so poor, with so many predictably poor decisions, that I’m concerned we could start next season poorly, and can see promising young players like Armstrong leaving and all of us regretting not giving them more of a chance. The back four without Branthwaite is excruciating and keeping O’Brien at right back could surely qualify as cruelty to an employee. Upcoming new contracts for Keane and Mykolenko isn’t helping and the owners are giving the impression they’re not too fussed as long as we stay up and they make loads of money out of us. So …. Not a clue.
Agree with everything except making money out of us.

So far all they have done is pump cash in. Taken zero out. They may be speculating that we will win the Champions League and they can sell us for twice what they paid. Oh, no. They’ve made us win the Champions League the absolute parasites.

If you have X billion spare cash and want to make money, there are infinitely better ways that buying an Everton, particularly when you are already deeply invested in numerous profitable industries.

They have shown little to no visible interest in us so far other than throwing money (sensibly) at our debt. If they are here to only increase our value, I’d wager they are almost as pee’d off with Kinnear’s stewardship so far as we are.

I voted “out”. I did so for a number of reasons but firstly I would say David Moyes should be thanked for the job he has done in getting us away from relegation battles but he is very limited in his tactical nouse and his ability to adapt to changes as the game goes on. The squad needs widespread reinforcements, do we really want to give that much power to a manager who is only going to be with us for one more year. The club is now in a position to kick on, do we want to spend another year consolidating when there are a few young dynamic managers available who could shape a squad to be their team. I would go all out for Iraola and give him 3 years and a budget to get us moving.
How much would Iraola need to get us a decent squad to play his way
200-250m
He hasn't got the recruitment team he had at Bournemouth here
Have we got that much to spend
Iraola would need 2 FBs,2 Wingers ,a CF
At least one pressing midfielder and hopefully a fit Branthwaite.
Pickford O'Brien ,Branthwaite, Garner, KDH get in his first 11 in his first season (Maybe ).

In but only because we won't have any succession plan in place and we can't go back to the absolute shambles of the FSW / lampard / dyche years. One more year for Moyes and the club puts a plan in place for the season after
Surely the owners can come up with a succession plan fairly quickly.
Iraola and Glasner will know Everton's squad ,know what is needed to make it work for them
Other managers could spend a few hours watching videos to see what would be needed
Surely the owners are at least having that discussion with the backroom staff

Irrelevant as he's going nowhere. If he goes needs to go now not after some pointless end of season review. I can just about see a glimmer of an argument to keep him for the next 12 months to ensure that we have strong foundations. Keep him away from any decisions about strikers. Grealish in only if the financials makes sense as well. If there's a big bid for Ndiaye - take it.

So here's where I sit with Moyes...I really didn't want him in but once in was open minded and was happy to be proved wrong. Full season in place just finished and I answered a poll a couple of months ago where I said to keep him. I was on the fence but felt that he had done enough to be giving the start of the next season. The past couple of months have put me firmly back to where I was when he was being linked to come in.
That might sound like fickle football fan, but its not even the results so much recently but the shocking and lazy tactics. Putting in O'Brien constantly despite him getting hammered each game by fast wingers, the laziness of leaving Ndiaye in and on despite him being ineffective for awhile now. I could go on but lets just thank him for the job he's done and move on for everyone's sake.

Moyes isn’t going anywhere.

David Brent said so about a week ago along with his happily dissatisfied comment.

He was a dinosaur appointment and the clowns running the club have been left behind by joke clubs like Bournemouth, brentford and Brighton.

This is the thing holding me back from being vehemently Moyes out. I don't the footballing structure is in place for a modern manager to come in and succeed right now. Which is great for Moyes, as it marries us to an old-school manager for at least another year or two.
