Our budget will be circa £150 million which will be £180 million once we sell players. Anyone who's seen Bournemouth in the last 3 years would want to sign for us under Iraola.
He's being linked with AC Milan. Who'd be next in the wish list? Oh and as for players to sell, who'd going to pay good money for our rubbish, don't think TFG are in to losing money on players.

How much would Iraola need to get us a decent squad to play his way
200-250m
He hasn't got the recruitment team he had at Bournemouth here
Have we got that much to spend
Iraola would need 2 FBs,2 Wingers ,a CF
At least one pressing midfielder and hopefully a fit Branthwaite.
Pickford O'Brien ,Branthwaite, Garner, KDH get in his first 11 in his first season (Maybe ).
Agreed but if he had a three year contract he would not need to have everything in place right away. No manager is going into a club where he has everything he needs or wants. Part of being a good manager is building up a squad to meet the needs of your system, my worry with retaining David Moyes at this stage is that he will bring in older steady uninspiring players that will make us hard to beat but maybe not make us likely to win. That type of player, while important in the right numbers, have no sell on value and no willingness to move on as they will be looking at their final contract.

I think the number of goals we shipped when Gana was out points to a defensive midfielder plus the Branthwaite injury situation means a couple of central defenders too. It's a long shopping list.
Another reason for me that we can't stick with Moyes as he for me is already underestimating the work needed to be done. He said we needed 'a couple' top players.

We genuinely need to spread our money across 6 or 7 signings, the issue being that the only way we could afford to do that is by going for development players who Moyes won't play.

If he thinks that we can get away with putting majority of our money into 2 or 3 more expensive, experienced players that should be concerning to all of us.

A lot will depend on who we can offload and how much TFG are prepared to invest in the squad. This window is so important,if he gets it wrong he'll be gone by January,or maybe earlier.

There are a number of progressive coaches we could appoint. We'd be able to sell some of our players but not for big money, that's the price of poor recruitment.

The owners could questionate more invest and buy more players after the limited use of Dibling Aznou and even Alcaraz or Rohr. Probably he knew something about this. i don't swallow all about of the WC and disconnected of the team and recruit. May be is signal of his exit

Moved to from def in 6 weeks ago, to maybe a change would be welcome. Can't get over the Coleman sub last week... love Coleman but that was not a good way to send him off. Qualifying for Europe would have been

We know what we will get with Moyes. Slow uninspiring football and finishing around 12th place or worse and early exits from cup competitions. We will never win anything with him, so what is the point of keeping him.

Now why would a manager come out and say 'yeah we need a complete overhaul of the squad, these lot are rubbish'

Honestly some people 🤦
Big difference between saying that and what he did say.

Had no problem last season being clear that we were going to have to bring in quite a few players. If anything they made a big show of it, 'unprecedented' summer rebuild they were talking about.
