The US provided intelligence and a fair bit of equipment including the then state-of-the-art STINGER man pad, secure comms units and many other stuff.
With regards to the French and their exocets, they did do some work although it was more clandestine rather than overt. On the face of it, they did nothing...
... but they helped MI6 to 'purchase' most weapons on the market and delayed the delivery of others to neighbours of Argentina. This stopped the market.
After the war, the British bought missiles were returned to France - well on paper as they'd never left. The didn't want to be seen to be involved, but they were.
The Argentinians did themselves over the most though by accepting Soviet intelligence, which the US did not take kindly to.

Most likely understated coming from a pro Russian group. I have seen numbers around 15k before this weekend. Seems like these Russian commanders are emulating "The Charge of the Light Brigade".
