How do you prove that a group was actually backed and endorsed by the Russians, and how would you then do anything about that? You won't get a criminal conviction.

Well it seems that the US have intel on it already. NATO have also previously said that cyberattacks can activate Article 5 although I can't see that happening.

There's different forms of intelligence: those that are admissible in court and those that aren't - that's an euphemism - but can help support decision making.

In these situations, the US and other parties will know a lot more than they'll ever lot on because A) they don't want Russia to know and B) it's legally questionable.

Sometimes what is said and what is actually known and done are quite far apart.

Very moving piece on C4 news about a lady in Poland who took in 8 refugees. Kudos to the lady and my heart goes out to the families she's housing. They've lost so much and are still, naturally, worried about their menfolk still there.
